Overseas Vietnamese representatives expressed their happiness at being able to return to their homeland to celebrate the traditional New Year and witness many development achievements.
On the occasion of welcoming the new spring of At Ty 2025, on the evening of February 24, in Nam Dinh City, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nam Dinh province organized a meeting with 125 overseas Vietnamese who are Nam Dinh people living in Europe and many other regions around the world to visit their homeland and celebrate Tet.
At the meeting, the representative of Nam Dinh province informed the overseas Vietnamese about the development achievements of their homeland Nam Dinh; the goals and development plans of the province in the future; affirmed that in the general achievements of the province, there are many important contributions of Nam Dinh people abroad with the role of a bridge and cooperation activities in science, technology, investment, business, finance, etc.
At the same time, the provincial leaders emphasized that the province always respects and welcomes the children who return, bringing with them their feelings, ambitions, aspirations and resources to contribute to, build and develop their homeland; committed to creating the most favorable conditions to support the business activities of overseas Vietnamese in their homeland, joining hands to build the homeland of Nam Dinh to both develop modernly and preserve traditional values.
Overseas Vietnamese representatives expressed their happiness when they were able to return to their homeland to celebrate the traditional New Year; to witness many development achievements of their homeland Nam Dinh and the country. The Nam Dinh community abroad, including communities in European countries, are always united, supporting and helping each other in life; establishing and working together in many organizations; always looking towards the country and homeland with practical feelings and activities.
“In 2024, Typhoon Yagi caused a lot of damage in the country, in which Nam Dinh province was one of the provinces with the most damage. Nam Dinh people in Europe donated and sent money back to support their homeland to overcome the consequences,” said a representative of overseas Vietnamese.
On the occasion of visiting their homeland, the overseas Vietnamese community in Nam Dinh donated money to support the province in implementing social security activities.
