Recent sources suggest that Samsung is likely to introduce the Galaxy S24 FE later this year, along with the high-end Galaxy Tab S10 tablet line. Recently, Android Headlines also posted a series of press photos of this smartphone model.
The front of the phone has a thick screen border, especially the bottom part, along with a punch-hole selfie camera in the middle and a speaker above the screen.
The S24 FE is expected to feature a 6.65-inch AMOLED display, a maximum brightness of 1,900 nits, and it is very likely that the device will have an Exynos 2400 chip (scored 2,047 in the single-core test and 6,289 in the multi-core test on Geekbench. The Exynos chip is expected to power the S24 FE devices released in most markets, while the US version will use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip.
Most likely the device will be equipped with 12GB of RAM, 256GB/512GB of internal memory. With a 4,565 mAh battery, Samsung claims the Galaxy S24 FE can last up to 78 hours of music playback and 29 hours of video playback on a single charge.
The device has a 10MP front camera, accompanied by a triple-lens camera cluster and flash. The rear triple camera system includes: a 50MP main sensor with a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera and an 8MP/10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Both the main camera and telephoto camera support optical image stabilization (OIS).
The device has a dual stereo speaker system, IP67 water resistance, wireless charging and wired reverse charging with a maximum capacity of 25W.
The S24 FE comes in at least five color options: Blue, Gray, Green, Silver, Gold, and may offer additional exclusive colors on the company's website.
At launch, the S24 FE will come with One UI 6.1.1 on Android 14 with full Galaxy AI features like Portrait Studio, Generative Edit, Circle to Search, Sketch to Image and Live Translate. Most likely, this model will enjoy the same 7-year software update policy as other S24 models.
According to Phonearena, the Galaxy S24 FE will launch later this year, but there are also sources saying it will be early 2025. The phone will likely be available in select markets later this year and more widely available next year.
