The final round of the Cai Luong Academy took place on the evening of June 23, causing controversy when awarding prizes to 5 champions (Bien Thuy, Tu Tri, Quach Phu Thanh, Hung Vuong, Melany Tran) and 5 runners-up (Luong Vi, Kim Cuong, Minh Thai, Tuan Kiet, Bao Ngoc).
This result surprised many people. According to the original rules, there would only be 1 champion, but the judges judged that the contestants had performed excellently, so they decided to break the rules and award 5 champions and 5 runners-up.

This is not the first time the show has broken the rules. Previously, in the semi-final round (episode 11), judge People's Artist Bach Tuyet decided to break the rules and bring the entire top 10 to compete in the final round, instead of just 4 contestants as planned.
Thus, all 10 contestants who made it to the finals won prizes. With the result of "the whole village is happy", many viewers are worried that the prize of the contest may be reduced in value, only being of a motivational and encouraging nature.

Responding to Giao Thong Newspaper about the debate after the final night, Mr. Dunal Tran - representative of the Cai Luong Academy crew said that it was no coincidence that right after the casting round, the program had a challenging stepping stone round with skills in poetry - singing - dancing - music - drama.
In the semi-finals, with the top 10 contestants, the judges broke the rules by deciding to keep the 10 promising and talented faces. Fortunately, the producers and especially the audience respected and supported this round of not eliminating the contestants.
According to Dunal Tran, the ultimate goal of the show is not necessarily the champion or runner-up positions, nor is the show looking for individual singers. The format of the show is to find the main and secondary actors, along with a cast of future personalities, with comedy - uniqueness - flirtatiousness - charm - old age... - all the elements of a complete theater troupe.
"Therefore, right before the final round, the judges and producers met and agreed: If all 10 contestants performed well and did not make any mistakes, plus the scores from the previous rounds were all equally high, we were ready to award prizes to all 10 of them.
With the criteria of tailoring each voice and performance style, with the effort to create a space for learning, expanding exchange, and performing... The Cai Luong Academy has fulfilled its wish to introduce a group of young and new actors, a miniature "opera troupe" with a defined cast.
After this season, we will continue to train young people in professional and human lessons," added Mr. Dunal Tran.
The Cai Luong Academy Competition is a project of People's Artist Bach Tuyet. The program is built in the form of an academy with the Director being People's Artist Bach Tuyet, along with Cai Luong artists Chau Thanh, Thanh Hang, and musician, People's Artist Thanh Hai accompanying the contestants throughout the program to train and pass on their skills.
The program consists of 12 episodes, aiming to build the image of a new generation of cai luong artists, not only working in the profession, but also in culture.
