Here, Da Nang International Airport said that in 2025, it will build a cargo terminal, build infrastructure on the remaining land north of the airport, and expand terminal T1 at the port.
In particular, the cargo terminal - Da Nang International Airport has been approved by the Da Nang City People's Committee for investment on an area of over 2.8 hectares.
Specifically, a cargo terminal with a capacity of 100,000 tons/year will be built on 1.4 hectares of land. The remaining 1.4 hectares of land will be used to build a cargo staging area, a cargo station parking lot, and auxiliary technical works within the scope of the two land plots of the project.
The total investment capital of the project is 350 billion VND from the development investment capital of Vietnam Airports Corporation - JSC.
Currently, the company is proposing to adjust the total investment to 600 billion VND to ensure a capacity of 100,000 tons/year.
Project construction progress is 12 months from the date of handover of the site for construction.
"Currently, the Ministry of Transport is assessing and adjusting the local planning of the land area for the construction of the cargo terminal," said Da Nang International Airport.
Da Nang International Airport added that in December 2024, it will complete the adjustment of the local planning of the cargo terminal area and submit for approval the feasibility study report.

Traffic routes will be built here, including: route T1A running in the middle of the planned land; route T2A running along the east side of the land and connecting to the aircraft parking lot in the north of the cargo terminal.
At the same time, build a system of rainwater drainage, water supply, lighting, total power supply, communication, trees arranged on the sidewalks of 2 routes T1A and T2A and build a retaining wall adjacent to the lotus pond in the North of the land.
It is expected that the site will be handed over and construction will begin in November 2024. Construction will be completed on April 11, 2025.
The third project is the expansion of Terminal T1 - Da Nang International Airport:
Accordingly, the T1 passenger terminal will be invested in expanding according to the approved plan to 10 million passengers/year. The project implementation period is from 2026 - 2028.
Up to now, the investor (QCV) has recorded the development investment capital (5,000 billion VND and can adjust to increase the total investment) in parallel with the implementation of the construction of the cargo terminal project and the implementation of the FS dossier for the T1 passenger terminal expansion project.
In 2024, the total passenger throughput through the port will reach nearly 13.5 million (94%), the total cargo throughput through the port will reach nearly 32.5 thousand tons (119%). The total number of flights taking off and landing at Da Nang airport will reach more than 81 thousand (95%).
