Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were also Deputy Heads of the Provincial Steering Committee for the Program to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses: Ha Thi Hanh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Responding to the emulation movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" launched by the Prime Minister and the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Party committees, authorities at all levels, the business community and the people of Gia Nghia City have actively responded and strongly implemented.
Many new houses built and completed in recent times have contributed to bringing shelter to the poor, near-poor, people with revolutionary contributions and the disadvantaged.
Through screening, the city has 31 households facing housing difficulties and in need of removing temporary and dilapidated houses according to the Government's Program to remove 540 temporary and dilapidated houses in Dak Nong.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, the first 6 households of Dak Nia and Dak R'moan communes were given funding (60 million VND/household) to start building new houses.
Speaking at the ceremony, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for the Program to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Gia Nghia City, Bui Huy Thanh, emphasized that the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the area still has a lot of work to do.
In the coming time, all levels, sectors and localities need to promote the sense of responsibility, make more efforts and determination in accordance with the Prime Minister's directive "Overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain; only discussing work, not retreating" to soon have more houses built with the love of compatriots. Thereby, people can soon live in safe houses, settle down and start a business; at the same time, contribute to propaganda, education and arousing the spirit of great national unity.
On this occasion, comrade Ngo Thanh Danh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Head of the Steering Committee for the Program to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Dak Nong Province, presented gifts to 6 households in Dak Nia and Dak R'moan communes to encourage and support additional funding so that people can build a spacious and solid house.
