On August 20, in Hanoi, the National Final Round of the Team Ranking Table of the 5th National Olympic Competition on Marxist-Leninist Sciences and Ho Chi Minh Thought "Light to the Way" 2023 took place. The competition was organized by the Central Youth Union in coordination with the Central Propaganda Department, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, and National Political Publishing House Truth.

The excellent Army Youth Team won first prize at the 2023 National Olympic Competition "Light of the Way".

This year, the Army Youth won a "double" of overall victories in both the team and individual categories.

The national final round of the Team Table has the participation of 4 excellent teams that won the regional round, including: Army Youth, People's Police Youth, Hanoi Youth Union, Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union.

After exciting and dramatic competitions in 3 parts: "Who are we", "Horizon of knowledge" and "Light of the way", the Army Youth Team demonstrated outstanding ability, confidence and had a convincing victory, excellently winning the overall first prize with 327.8 points. With this victory, the Army Youth Team received a prize worth 20 million VND. In particular, the members were selected to participate in the Journey "Youth for the homeland's sea and islands" in Truong Sa island district in 2024.

This year, the Army Youth won a “double” victory in both the Team and Individual categories. Previously, on August 19, Corporal Nguyen Thi Huyen Trang (Military Science Academy) excellently won the Individual category championship of the competition. This is a vivid proof affirming the bravery, intelligence, and passion for Marxist-Leninist sciences and Ho Chi Minh ideology of the Army’s youth.

The 5 boys of the Army Youth Team left their mark throughout the competition.

The Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union Team came in second with 293.2 points, receiving a prize worth 15 million VND. The People's Public Security Youth Team came in third, receiving a prize worth 10 million VND. The Hanoi Youth Union Team received an Encouragement Prize.

Individuals and groups winning national prizes received certificates of merit from the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union.

Speaking at the National Final Round of the Team Ranking, comrade Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Student Association, said that over the years, the Youth Union has always attached importance to and given top priority to the task of educating union members and students about revolutionary ideals, ethics, lifestyle, culture, enhancing patriotism and national pride, especially nurturing ambitions and aspirations to build the country, clearly recognizing their historical mission and responsibility in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

The contest aims to strengthen the education of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh thought among union members and youth.

According to comrade Nguyen Minh Triet, educational activities on Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought are not simply about imparting knowledge, but also about shaping creative thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills in all areas of life. Unions at all levels need to promote the organization of exchange forums, maintain and replicate the model of the Young Theory Club to help union members and young people deeply understand these values, and know how to apply Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought to specific situations in life and work.

"The results of the contest are the first step. The Youth Union at all levels need to promote and continue to create an environment for candidates with high results to continue to study and develop their strengths and interests in studying Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought," Comrade Nguyen Minh Triet emphasized.
