On March 20, the National Assembly Delegation of Dong Nai province held a conference to collect comments on the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Advertising and the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Technical Standards and Regulations.

Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dong Nai Province Bui Xuan Thong chaired the conference, also attended by delegates from the National Assembly Delegation of Dong Nai Province, departments and branches.

According to the National Assembly Delegation of Dong Nai Province, the amendment of the above draft laws is basically necessary to institutionalize the guidelines and policies of the Party, the National Assembly, and the Government on innovation and improving the effectiveness of state management; ensuring consistency and conformity between laws and resolutions with issued laws and regulations, avoiding conflicts and contradictions. At the 8th Session, the 15th National Assembly gave its opinions on the above 2 draft laws and is expected to be passed at the upcoming 9th Session.

Regarding the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Technical Standards and Regulations, there were 36 comments from National Assembly deputies (29 comments in the Group, 7 comments in the hall). The National Assembly Standing Committee directed the Standing Committee of the Science, Technology and Environment Committee to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Science and Technology (the drafting agency), the Standing Committee of the Law Committee and relevant agencies to study and absorb the comments of National Assembly deputies to revise and complete the above draft Law.

Regarding the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Advertising, the draft law after being accepted and revised, consisting of 3 articles, has closely followed the spirit of innovation in law-making work, accordingly, a number of amended contents include state management of advertising activities, requirements for advertising content, state policies on advertising activities, handling of violations in advertising activities, etc.

At the conference, delegates raised many comments, emphasizing the need to revise a number of provisions in the draft to ensure consistency and unity of the legal system, contributing to improving the quality of completing the Laws submitted to the National Assembly for consideration and approval at the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

The National Assembly Delegation of Dong Nai province emphasized that the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly will consider and pass more than 30 laws, resolutions and amend the Constitution. Focusing on discussing and giving opinions on draft laws is necessary to perfect the legal system, improve the effectiveness of state management and create a basis for the National Assembly Delegation of Dong Nai province to contribute opinions at the upcoming 9th Session of the 5th National Assembly.
