2 fish dropped by the bus company are posted for sale on social media

To broaden public opinion, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper would like to publish Mr. T.'s statement about the incident. Accordingly, Mr. T. said that on March 4, he took his father to see a doctor, when passing through Cu Ne commune, Krong Buk, Dak Lak province, he saw a bag of goods dropped on the road.

Seeing an acquaintance living nearby carrying the bag of fish to the side of the road, Mr. T. stopped his car to inquire and examine the situation. When checking, Mr. T. saw the name and phone number of a restaurant in Buon Ma Thuot City, near where he worked, written on the bag. With the simple thought of helping the person who lost the goods, Mr. T. gave some money back to the person who pulled the bag of fish in and called the restaurant to report the incident. Mr. T. asked the restaurant to contact the owner of the car to report the incident and agree on a plan to receive the goods back.

According to Mr. T.'s statement, when he arrived in Buon Ma Thuot City, he had to rush his father to the hospital because he was seriously ill and needed to be examined and transferred to a higher level hospital, so he left the fish with an acquaintance to keep for him.

However, Mr. T. was later informed that the fish were about to die due to lack of oxygen, while the bus conductor had no clear decision on how to handle it, so he asked someone to help post the sale to reduce the damage(!)

From the evening of March 4 to the end of March 5, he continuously received many disturbing calls and messages, even threatening ones, forcing him to block strange numbers to protect himself and his family.

By the afternoon of March 5, after learning that the bus conductor had to compensate the fish owner 4 million VND, he proactively contacted the bus manager and transferred the full amount to compensate for the damage.

"Up to now, on some social networking sites, there is still one-sided information, even sharing my phone number and personal information, pushing the matter too far, causing great impact on my honor, life, and family. In the past few days, my whole family has lost sleep because of being attacked by netizens. I always want to do good deeds but I did not expect things to develop in this direction. I would like to confirm that from the beginning, I only wanted to help people who lost their goods, with no intention of appropriating or profiting. However, the incident happened in an urgent situation, many unexpected factors led to an incomplete handling..." - Mr. T. wrote in his statement.

As reported by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper , many Facebook pages have posted the clip and information "Bottomless Greed" telling the story of 2 dropped fish and the man in the car "tricking" them into taking them, causing a stir in the online community.

Accordingly, on the morning of March 4, QN bus company received 2 fish in plastic bags from a person in Gia Lai province to a restaurant in Buon Ma Thuot city (Dak Lak province). When reaching Cu Ne commune, the back trunk of the bus opened, and the bag of fish fell onto the road. Discovering the incident, a local resident pulled the bag of fish into a nearby garage and told the person who dropped it to claim it.

However, a man driving a car behind knew what happened so he went into the garage and said he knew the restaurant (written on the bag of fish) and took it back to the restaurant.

By the evening of the same day, the two fish were posted for sale on a forum, along with the phone number that the bus company had contacted to get the fish back.

The two fish weighed nearly 14 kg and cost 4.7 million VND. Because the fish were lost, the bus company compensated the person who sent the fish 4 million VND.
