Recently, a clip of a female student beating and threatening her classmate with an electric shock device in a classroom in Dak Lak province has been circulating on social media. The school’s board of directors has sent a report to the Dak Lak Department of Education and Training about this incident.
On March 7, Huynh Thuc Khang High School (Buon Ho Town, Dak Lak) reported to the Dak Lak Department of Education and Training about students beating and using electric shock devices to threaten their classmates in the classroom in a clip shared on social media on March 4.
Specifically, at around 9:30 a.m. on March 4, the school's Youth Union secretary received a clip of students fighting in school and reported it to the principal.
Students beat up friends at school
Through verification, PHYN was the one who beat her friend, NTL was the one who was beaten (2 students in the same class 10A7). The homeroom teacher invited these two students to work, wrote a report verifying that the incident was due to a misunderstanding and conflict on social networks.
At the same time, NMC (in the same class 10A7) who was involved in the conflict between the two students above was invited to clarify the incident. After making a report, the homeroom teacher, following the principal's orders, wrote an invitation for the parents of the two students N. and L. to meet to resolve the incident at 8:00 a.m. on March 5.
On the morning of March 5, the Board of Directors of Huynh Thuc Khang High School held a meeting with parents, determining that the cause of the incident was a conflict on social media, an anonymous slanderous post, but the students suspected each other, leading to the incident where PHYN beat her friend and brought her father's electric shock device to threaten her friend (a small box that looked like a lighter).
The school considered the incident serious, with fighting and weapons brought to school, so it made a report, along with the students' statements and evidence, and sent it to Thong Nhat Ward Police to investigate and clarify the incident.
At the same time, the school is investigating students who witnessed the incident but did not intervene or report it to the school to prevent it. Also on March 5, the homeroom teacher and principal of the school went to L.'s house to encourage and visit the student.
It is expected that today (March 7), the school will hold a meeting with key staff and homeroom teachers to review the homeroom work of the classes and temporarily suspend PHYN students from school for 1 week.
After the investigation concluded, the school continued to establish a disciplinary council to handle the case based on the conclusion of the Thong Nhat Ward Police (Buon Ho Town); criticized the homeroom teacher of class 10A7 for not promptly grasping the situation in the class; criticized the students who witnessed the incident but did not intervene, did not report to the school, and shared the clip posted by others online, causing confusion among the students.
