TPO - Many roads in Vinh City (Nghe An) are severely damaged, with potholes appearing everywhere, causing traffic safety and affecting urban beauty.

Ngo Gia Tu Street (Quan Bau Ward, Vinh City, Nghe An) is only about 1km long but has many damaged spots, the road surface is peeling, full of potholes, especially at the intersection with the 72m road.

This road has a large volume of traffic every day. However, the road surface is in a state of disrepair, causing traffic safety and affecting the urban beauty.

Also in Quan Bau ward, Golden City 4A road has many eroded spots occupying the entire roadway.

The road surface is bumpy and badly damaged, making it difficult for people to travel.

Pham Huy Street also has many eroded and peeling spots.

Nguyen Chi Thanh Street (Hung Dong Ward, Vinh City) is more than 3 km long, connecting Le Ninh Street to Nguyen Truong To Street, an important road in the Northwest of the city. Currently, the road is full of potholes, the road surface is peeling, eroded, and bumpy, especially the section in front of the Road Transport Vocational Training Center.

“The road is full of potholes. It’s dusty when it’s sunny, and puddles of water when it rains. Many people have fallen off their bikes, especially at night. Since Hung Dong commune was upgraded to a ward, people have hoped for investment in the transport infrastructure, but so far it has not been repaired or upgraded,” said a resident of Hung Dong ward.

After the rains, the road surface is full of potholes, making it difficult for vehicles to move around, posing a potential risk of traffic accidents.

Mr. Nguyen Van Khiem, Chairman of Hung Dong Ward People's Committee said: "Nguyen Chi Thanh Street has been damaged for many years, people have had many comments. The city also has a plan to invest in this road, currently in the stage of adjusting the planning, completing documents and procedures. Regarding the issue of checking and handling vehicles with tonnage exceeding the authority of the ward. The locality also requested departments and branches to have patrol measures to ensure traffic safety, limit the deterioration and increase erosion".

Around Vinh market area, many potholes on Pham Nguyen Du and Ho Xuan Huong streets have not been repaired even though these are busy business streets in the area with high traffic volume.
