Located next to the ancient village of Guanpei in China, the resort is surrounded by mountains, rivers and vast bamboo forests. The house leans against the mountain, creating a perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural depth.

The design of the project aims to create a simple yet poetic resort that helps visitors connect with nature.

The house creatively applies local environmentally friendly materials and reuses old items, both expressing regional characteristics and blending with the rich cultural heritage of the area as a tribute and continuation of traditional values.

Local stone is widely used as the foundation, bringing natural beauty to the project.

Handcrafted details such as woven bamboo and rattan, braided grass are used in roofing, furniture, decorative lights and partitions, contributing to enhancing the sensory value of the space.

The relaxing space has a direct view of the bamboo forest, evoking peace in the mountains and forests.

Dry bamboo is woven into a decorative canopy under the roof; bamboo slats are used as stair railings and space dividers.

The main hall with the central dome of the resort integrates many functions such as a bar, a cafe and a small library, creating a cozy space for interaction. The skylight allows visitors to feel the changes of light and shadow from the stream and bamboo forest at different times of the day.

The bedroom is designed with natural stone walls, bringing a feeling of closeness to nature.

The tea room ceiling is decorated with layers of wavy do paper, evoking the image of mountains.

By utilizing available natural resources, recreating local materials and ancient elements, the project has created a unique rural retreat, providing urban residents with a space to connect with nature and recharge their spirits.
