On the morning of March 3, according to Tien Phong newspaper reporters, at the points receiving applications for driver's license renewal of the road motor vehicle driving license testing and issuance team (Traffic Police Department, Ho Chi Minh City Police), there were quite a lot of people coming to do the procedures.
At the headquarters at 252 Ly Chinh Thang (District 3, Ho Chi Minh City), traffic police officers and soldiers actively supported and guided people through the procedures for issuing and exchanging driving licenses. Although crowded, the steps of receiving and processing documents were quick and smooth. People sat and waited for their turn to complete their documents in an orderly manner.
Similarly, at the driver's license issuance and renewal point at Tien Bo Traffic College (No. 111, Tan Son Nhi, Tan Phu District), from early morning, many traffic police officers and soldiers were present to guide people to complete the procedures for issuing or renewing driver's licenses.

This driver’s license renewal point also arranged seats for people to wait their turn to complete various procedures in an orderly manner. At around 9:00 a.m., this facility announced that on the morning of March 3, it had received applications from numbers 1 to 120. Those with numbers from 121 onwards could return and complete the procedures from 1:30 p.m. the same day.

According to a traffic police officer at the driver's license renewal point at 111 Tan Son Nhi (Tan Phu District), on the morning of March 3, in addition to receiving applications up to number 120, the unit also received and supported cases that had registered via the hotline. Therefore, in the morning, it was possible to handle the procedures for granting and renewing driver's licenses for about 150 cases.
Currently, this unit prioritizes receiving applications with licenses that are about to expire within the last 1 month. Cases with driving licenses that are more than 1 month old will be instructed to return for further processing.

Sharing with reporters, Mr. Ngo Van Toi (living in Binh Chanh district, Ho Chi Minh City) said that his B2 driver's license will expire at the end of March, so he is trying to change it soon.
“In the past few days, there has been information about a change in the unit in charge of issuing and renewing licenses. I also tried to take advantage of the opportunity to go and renew my driver’s license. When I got there, I saw that the process was still the same as before. Traffic police officers handled the procedures very quickly and enthusiastically supported people,” said Mr. Toi.

Previously, the Traffic Police Department (PC08) - Ho Chi Minh City Police said that from March 1, Ho Chi Minh City Police will accept applications for testing, exchanging and reissuing driving licenses in the city at the following locations: 252 Ly Chinh Thang, Ward 9, District 3; 8 Nguyen Anh Thu, Trung My Tay Ward, District 12 and 111 Tan Son Nhi, Tan Son Nhi Ward, Tan Phu District.
In addition to the 3 points for issuing and exchanging driver's licenses mentioned above, in the coming time, to facilitate people, save time, travel costs and waiting, Ho Chi Minh City Police will arrange 22 more points at the Police of 17 wards in districts, Thu Duc City where motorbike registration is being carried out and the police of 5 central communes in Binh Chanh, Can Gio, Cu Chi, Hoc Mon, Nha Be districts (specifically including: Tan Tuc town, Can Thanh town, Cu Chi town, Hoc Mon town).
