On March 3, in Hoa Khuong commune (Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city), Battalion 355, Naval Region 3 Command held the opening ceremony of training new soldiers in 2025.

In 2025, Region 3 is assigned the task of selecting and training 570 comrades, including 420 soldiers from the Navy and 150 soldiers from the Coast Guard.

To successfully complete the task, the Command of Region 3 assigned Battalion 355 (the direct training unit) to organize training according to the motto "basic, practical, solid", focusing on training skills and practical ability for new soldiers right from the beginning; implementing well the motto, viewpoint, and combinations in training, from low to high, from simple to complex.

The training course lasts 13 weeks, from March 3 to May 30, 2025, with a total duration of 420 hours. Of which, political education accounts for 16.2%, military training accounts for 78.5%, and the rest is for logistics and technical work.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Colonel Vu Dinh Hien - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of Naval Region 3 said: "I hope that the new soldiers will start their dreams and ambitions with concrete actions to overcome initial difficulties and obstacles, successfully complete assigned tasks, and contribute to building Battalion 355 and the Naval Region 3 Command to successfully complete all tasks assigned by the Party, State, People, and Army."

Currently, the unit has ensured training grounds, training grounds, model teaching aids, lesson plans for training, and facilities for eating, living, and studying for new soldiers.

The unit also organizes health checks as soon as soldiers join the army, and at the same time cares for and encourages soldiers to feel secure, stay with the unit, and strive to study and train in the coming time.
