On the morning of March 2, at the Government headquarters, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Training, Hanoi National University in coordination with Tsinghua University (China) organized a ceremony to award the title of "Honorary Professor" of Tsinghua University to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
The Prime Minister was awarded this title for the important contributions of the Party, the Government of Vietnam and the Prime Minister himself to the remarkable development of the Vietnamese economy and cooperation between Vietnam and China in recent years.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Khuu Dung - Secretary of the Party Committee of Tsinghua University, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences - emphasized that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is an internationally influential leader. Since assuming the position of Prime Minister, he has led the Vietnamese Government to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
With the goal of stabilizing the macro economy, controlling inflation, promoting growth, and ensuring major balances, the Vietnamese Government has achieved many outstanding achievements in socio-economic development and improving people's lives in Vietnam.
Along with that, under the attention and direction of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Premier of the State Council of China Li Qiang, ministries, branches and localities of Vietnam and China have recently coordinated closely and actively implemented the common perception of the top leaders of the two Parties and two countries; promoted the building of the Vietnam - China Community of Shared Future to continuously go into depth and achieve substantial results.
“Through serious research and based on Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's achievements in economic development and important contributions to China-Vietnam cooperation and exchange, Tsinghua University would like to confer the noble title of 'Honorary Professor' to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh," said Prof. Dr. Khuu Dung.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his honor to receive the title of "Honorary Professor". The Prime Minister emphasized that conferring this noble title is not only an honor for Tsinghua University but also demonstrates the respect of the Party, State and Government of China for the contributions of the Party and State of Vietnam in steadfastly pursuing the cause of innovation and building socialism.
According to the Prime Minister, this title is also China's recognition of the Vietnamese Government's efforts in promoting the "close Vietnam-China relationship, both comrades and brothers".
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh respectfully thanked the Party, State, key leaders of all periods, and General Secretary To Lam for creating favorable conditions for him to study, work, and improve his knowledge to serve the Fatherland and the People.
The Prime Minister affirmed that the Vietnamese Government is ready to closely coordinate with the Chinese Government to promote the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and the Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future, which has strategic significance and continuously develops stably and healthily according to the "6 more" orientation agreed upon by the two sides' senior leaders; bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries, contributing to peace and stability in the region.
