On the afternoon of February 28, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi chaired the ceremony to announce the resolution of the Provincial People's Council on the organization of the apparatus and the decision of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on personnel organization.

Implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, Dak Nong merged 5 departments and established 1 new department. Specifically, the Department of Finance and the Department of Planning and Investment were merged into a new Department of Finance; the Department of Construction and the Department of Transport were merged into a new Department of Construction; the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment were merged into the Department of Agriculture and Environment; the Department of Science and Technology and the Department of Information and Communications were merged into a new Department of Science and Technology; the Department of Home Affairs was merged with a part of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs into a new Department of Home Affairs; the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions was established on the basis of merging a part of the Department of Home Affairs and the Provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee.
The new departments will come into effect and operate from March 1, 2025.
Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee announced the decision to transfer and appoint directors and deputy directors of newly established departments.
Dak Nong currently has 14 specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee, reducing 5 agencies and 3 offices. After the reorganization, Dak Nong reduced 16 specialized departments, 2 branches, and 5 affiliated public service units.
At the announcement ceremony, Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee assigned additional tasks to other departments and branches such as: Department of Health, Department of Education and Training, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism...
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi emphasized that when operating under the new model, new name, new seal, units must immediately start working, without delay or work congestion.
Merging units need to be extremely fair and objective, based on clear criteria to assign tasks to the right roles and tasks.
The arrangement of workplaces and policies has been highly unified among units and localities. Therefore, the Department of Construction and the Department of Finance will continue to consult on this issue soon.
The surplus headquarters after the merger and streamlining, the Department of Finance will soon have a plan to protect, maintain and avoid degradation.
