Contestants are Vietnamese individuals or people of Vietnamese origin living and working in and outside Vietnam, regardless of gender, age, or occupation, who have innovative products, services, or technologies, have registered to establish a business, and have sample products.
The competition is an opportunity for Vietnamese start-up projects, creative start-up businesses and Vietnamese people around the world to connect financial resources, partners, develop markets, creating opportunities for businesses to effectively promote resources and promote growth.
The competition also contributes to the implementation of the general goal of TECHFEST 2024: Attracting participation from provinces, localities, overseas Vietnamese networks together with the private sector and international investment funds, together integrating the Vietnamese creative startup ecosystem with the region and the world, especially in the topics: creating social impact, green growth and sustainable development. In addition, continuing to improve and enhance the capacity of the creative startup ecosystem with the participation of the government, large enterprises, and good domestic and foreign experts to solve new economic, social and environmental challenges of the country and the world.

Mr. Pham Dung Nam, Director of the National Center for Supporting Innovative Startups (NSSC), the focal point for organizing TECHFEST Vietnam 2024, said: “We hope to receive continuous participation from localities in selecting and nominating outstanding innovative startup projects with high technology and intellectual property content and sustainable development potential, contributing to promoting socio-economic development”.
The new point of this year's Competition is that potential startups will be evaluated and screened through a series of activities and capacity building programs designed to suit market needs and trends and with high specialization.
Ms. Mandy Nguyen - Operations Director of the Vietnam Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Fund (SVF) - Head of the Organizing Committee of the Competition, shared: “In addition to focusing on evaluating and screening quality teams for this year, we will bring a series of specialized programs on creative trends, technology and experience to accompany Vietnamese talents, with the support of many domestic and international corporations, businesses and experts. In particular, issues on environmental protection, social impact, and empowerment of women and young people will also be integrated to share and raise awareness for projects within the framework of the program. At the same time, promote exchange activities, connect startups, potential projects with elements supporting the creative startup ecosystem at home and abroad through the high-tech exhibition event held in Hai Phong”.
The 2024 National Creative Startup Talent Search Competition will select the best team to represent Vietnam in prestigious international startup competitions and programs. The deadline for receiving applications for the competition is October 25.
