(NADS) - After super typhoon Yagi passed, people in Long Bien, Hanoi had to face severe flooding when the Red River rose to near alert level 3. Currently, the river water has receded but there are still many difficulties for people's lives here to return to normal.
By the afternoon of September 11, the flood of the Red River through Hanoi reached its peak. Monitoring data from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting at 1 p.m. showed that the water level of this river in Hanoi was 11.14 meters, 0.36 meters below alert level 3. Households living at the foot of Long Bien Bridge were the most severely affected by this flood.
Currently, although the river water has receded, the damage left behind is enormous and overcoming the consequences is not easy.
