At the program, Coast Guard Squadron 32 disseminated the Party and State’s policies and laws on seas and islands; and coordinated medical examinations, health consultations, and free medicine distribution to more than 500 local people.

Representatives of agencies and units gave gifts to fishermen and families with disadvantaged backgrounds. |
On this occasion, agencies and units presented 60 gifts to fishing families and policy families in difficult circumstances (each gift worth 1 million VND); presented 20 gifts to owners of offshore fishing boats (each gift included a national flag, life jacket, flashlight and 500,000 VND in cash).

Through the program, fishermen can improve their knowledge of marine exploitation activities; strengthen military-civilian solidarity, promote the combined strength of organizations and individuals in helping policy beneficiaries and fishermen's families in difficult circumstances to help fishermen feel secure in going offshore, develop the economy, and contribute to firmly protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
