Quang Binh - An attractive tourist destination with strong development

(NADS) - The leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that entering 2025, Quang Binh tourism continued to affirm its strong attraction when welcoming more than 1 million visitors in the first quarter, an increase of 4.5% over the same period. Notably, the number of international visitors increased by 11.8%, reaching nearly 50,000. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at 1,105 billion VND, an increase of 9% over the previous year.

Mr. Dang Dong Ha - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism spoke and shared information at the press conference.

With its majestic cave system, pristine beaches and culturally rich destinations, Quang Binh has become a bright spot on the Vietnamese tourism map. Recently, Agoda - the leading online booking platform, announced Phong Nha as the most economical destination in Asia in spring 2025. This is a clear demonstration of the attractiveness of this land to domestic and foreign tourists.

Along with the increase in the number of visitors, the quality of tourism services in Quang Binh has also been constantly improved. The province currently has 533 accommodation establishments, 58 travel agencies and many service businesses that meet the standards for serving tourists. Revenue from accommodation services reached 55.2 billion VND, up 18.5% over the same period.

In addition, new technology applications such as Google Maps 360 degrees, 3D and digitized tourism publications have been deployed to enhance the tourist experience. Tourism promotion has also been promoted on digital platforms such as Facebook, Zalo, Tiktok, along with international cooperation to expand the tourist market.

In the first quarter of 2025, Quang Binh will organize a series of attractive sports and cultural events such as the Quang Binh Discovery Marathon, the Central Highlands - Central Region Karate National Championship, or the launching ceremony of the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".

In the coming time, the province will continue to promote tourism activities with a series of large-scale events such as:

• Opening of voco Quang Binh Resort on March 31, 2025 - a brand of the IHG International Hotel Group.

• Tu Lan Challenge 2025 Adventure Race (March 27-30, 2025).

• Dong Hoi Culture - Tourism Week (April 27 - May 3, 2025).

• Traditional boat racing festival of Bo Trach district (April 28-29, 2025).

• Ho Chi Minh City Television Cup Cycling Race (April 10-11, 2025).

• “Legend Fest in Dong Hoi – Endless Festival” program with fireworks display to celebrate April 30 (if licensed).

Besides, Quang Binh also actively promotes tourism in major markets through conferences and exhibitions in Thailand, Laos and Vietnam.

With impressive achievements in the first quarter of 2025, Quang Binh is gradually affirming its position as one of the leading destinations in the region. Local authorities are also focusing on improving the effectiveness of state management in the tourism sector, ensuring safety and service quality for tourists during peak occasions such as Hung Kings' death anniversary, April 30 - May 1 and the 2025 summer tourist season.
