The event was organized by the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission to encourage artists to actively create and contribute many valuable works on the themes of war and revolution.

“Tunnels: Sun in the Dark” is 128 minutes long, built on real historical material, telling about the life and arduous fighting of revolutionary soldiers in secret tunnels - one of the important military works that helped our army and people fight and defeat the enemy in the resistance war against America to save the country.

The film not only depicts intense and fierce battles but also highlights the indomitable fighting spirit and passionate patriotism of our army and people. The revolutionary soldiers lived and fought in the darkness of the underground but always kept their faith in the light of independence and freedom.

The war has long gone, but the lessons of patriotism, solidarity and the indomitable fighting spirit of our nation are still valuable. "Tunnels: Sun in the Dark" is not only a film but also a vivid historical lesson, helping viewers, especially the younger generation, better understand what our ancestors went through to achieve the peace we have today.

The choice to screen this film on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South has great significance. This is not only an opportunity to recall heroic memories, but also an opportunity to remind the present and future generations of the responsibility to protect, preserve and promote the values that our ancestors exchanged with sweat and blood.
