(Dan Tri) - The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) only allocated 300 tickets to Vietnamese fans for the first leg of the AFF Cup 2024 semi-final on December 26 at Jalan Besar Stadium.
According to information from the Football Association of Singapore (FAS), tickets for the first leg of the AFF Cup semi-final between Singapore and Vietnam on December 26 will be on sale from noon today (Singapore time, December 22).
Singapore finished second in Group A behind Thailand, and will play the first leg of the semi-finals at home and the second leg at the home of the Group B winners (December 29). FAS announced that tickets can only be purchased at Jalan Besar Stadium, where the match will be held, with different ticket prices.

To ensure that only Singaporean fans are present at the home stadium, tickets priced at VND920,0000, VND660,000 and VND450,000 will be sold only at Jalan Besar Stadium. Fans must present their identification documents when purchasing tickets. Each person is limited to purchasing a maximum of four tickets per transaction.
Meanwhile, around 300 seats will be allocated to away fans, with tickets priced at VND715,000 each. These tickets will only be sold on the day of the match, from 3pm to 30 minutes before the match ends.
Vietnamese fans are only allowed to buy tickets for the away team's section. The FAS added that the match organizers have the right to refuse entry to Vietnamese fans holding tickets for the home section and are ready to expel away fans from their seats in the home section.

During the group stage, Singapore played both home games at the National Stadium, where tickets start at VND150,000. Coach Tsutomu Ogura's side beat Cambodia 2-1 in front of 12,391 fans, before losing 2-4 to Thailand in front of 22,611.
However, the Singapore team will have to play at Jalan Besar Stadium - which has a capacity of nearly 6,000 - for the semi-finals or even if they reach the final.
The FAS explained that prior to the tournament, the AFF Cup was originally scheduled to take place from 23 November to 21 December, but last-minute changes to the schedule by the ASEAN Football Federation affected operational, logistical and scheduling plans. Concerts by local Mandopop singer JJ Lin on 28 and 29 December and Taiwanese rock band Mayday on 11 and 12 January were scheduled at the National Stadium before the new tournament dates were announced.
