The decision signed on March 12 by the president of the Vietnam Young Businessmen's Pickleball Club, Nguyen Van Thu, is as follows: "Do not accept registration to compete in any event in the pickleball tournaments organized by the Vietnam Young Businessmen's Pickleball Club and local young businessmen's pickleball clubs from the date of signing the decision until the end of 2025 for athlete Vu Son Tung, due to his unprofessional behavior, affecting the sportsmanship at the 2025 national pickleball championship in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province".
The Vietnamese Young Businessmen Pickleball Club does not allow athlete Vu Son Tung to register for competitions within the club system.

At the national championship, there was an incident where athlete Vu Son Tung, after losing the match, went to the referee's room to express his anger at the referee supervisor for not doing his job properly, affecting the match. Specifically, athlete Vu Son Tung said that the referee supervisor did not intervene properly in the in/out decision. In addition, when a fan had an annoying behavior towards an athlete while competing, the athlete complained to the referee, the referee supervisor, and asked to invite the fan out but was refused. The athlete from Hai Phong used rude words when talking to the referee supervisor, the clip of the incident was shared on many pickleball forums, leaving mixed comments.
Immediately after the incident, the organizing committee held an urgent meeting with the relevant parties in the spirit of reconciliation, experience sharing, and working together to bring success to the new sport of pickleball. Athlete Vu Son Tung admitted that his words were inappropriate due to frustration with the referee supervisor. The referee supervisor also said that they would learn from their experiences to do better. Everything was resolved smoothly, and Son Tung continued to compete in the final event. Up to now, the tournament organizing committee as well as the Department of Sports and Physical Training have not made any disciplinary decisions against athlete Vu Son Tung. Mr. Mac Xuan Tung, in charge of the pickleball department of the Department of Sports and Physical Training, said that everything had been resolved at the tournament and the department would report the incident to the Department of Sports and Physical Training.

The Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Pickleball Club was launched in February 2025 in Hanoi to create a common playground for the young entrepreneur community nationwide to exchange and practice physical training through pickleball. At the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Thu, Chairman of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Pickleball Club, said that in 2025, the Club plans to organize quarterly pickleball tournaments and events in provinces and cities across the country to create connections between members.
