It has become a tradition since its establishment that the Thanh Hoa Business Club in Ho Chi Minh City and the South (abbreviated as HTBC) annually organizes Carnaval activities in different provinces and cities across the country to create a playground for businessmen in the Club to exchange, connect and share business opportunities and successful cooperation. This year, HTBC chose the Mekong Delta as its destination with the two provinces of Can Tho and An Giang.
On August 16, 2024, the HTBC business delegation led by Mr. Trinh Tien Dung and more than 44 HTBC enterprises departed from the city named after Uncle Ho and attended the Investment - Trade Promotion Conference in Can Tho City with more than 400 leaders and business delegates attending the conference. The conference was organized by the Can Tho Investment - Trade Promotion and Exhibition Center (CPA) in coordination with relevant departments, branches and sectors and the Can Tho City Business Association; Thu Duc City Trade and Investment Promotion Center (HCMC); Thu Duc City Business Association; Ho Chi Minh City Business Association, Thanh Hoa Province Business Association.

The conference aims to promote comprehensive economic and social cooperation, create new cooperation opportunities, and deepen connections between Thu Duc City (Ho Chi Minh City), Can Tho City and Thanh Hoa Province; as well as create conditions for businesses to strengthen links and cooperation, enhance competitive advantages, and build appropriate business strategies for their businesses.
At the conference, a memorandum of understanding and cooperation was signed between investment promotion centers, business associations, women entrepreneurs' associations, young entrepreneurs' associations, and businesses of the three localities.
On the morning of August 17, the HTBC business delegation and the Thanh Hoa Provincial Business Association visited, connected, and learned at Sao Mai Aquatic Feed Processing Factory of Sao Mai Group - one of the leading real estate enterprises in the Mekong Delta region.

In the field of aquaculture and seafood processing for export, the International Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (IDI) - a member of Sao Mai Group is a leading enterprise among Vietnamese pangasius exporters. The company currently owns 2 frozen pangasius processing factories with a capacity of 900 tons of raw materials/day, 4 cold storages with a total capacity of 40,000 tons, 1 fishmeal and fish oil processing factory with a capacity of 450 tons of by-products/day, 1 fish oil refining factory with a capacity of 200 tons of finished products/day.
To gradually close the production chain, at the end of 2017, the Group put into operation an aquatic feed processing factory with a capacity of nearly 400,000 tons/year with a total investment of nearly 1,000 billion VND, which was the aquatic feed processing factory with the largest capacity in Vietnam at that time.
The delegation visited the seafood processing factory of Sao Mai Group.
Sao Mai is one of the very few pangasius enterprises that have built a closed production chain from breeding, farming, feed production, main frozen processing, by-product processing, etc. Then, it focuses on researching to maximize the added value from pangasius, applying deep processing technology, diversifying products, aiming for sustainable development for the Vietnamese seafood industry.
Thanh Hoa Business Club in Ho Chi Minh City and the South (HTBC) was established in 2009 and is a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association. HTBC currently has more than 200 members.
