In his speech at the "2024 Science and Technology Festival" held on January 14 in Ha Nam, Mr. Hoang Nam Tien, Vice Chairman of the Board of FPT University, who has made many famous statements on social networks, said: "The generation that is not afraid of artificial intelligence will rule the world."

This expert predicts career trends in 2030 including industries such as: Computer Science, Marketing, AI (Artificial Intelligence), Big Data and Content Production. At the same time, he warns about 6 professions that will disappear in the next 5 years including: Teachers; Customer Service, Doctors, Pharmacists; Auditors, Accountants; Security Guards, Police; Experts.

Within the framework of the festival, thousands of students of all levels in Ha Nam explored technology in 35 experiential areas such as jet cars, making scented candles, practicing "volcanic eruption" experiments, experiencing programming, creative painting, shooting water rockets, and experiencing with robots.

Through age-appropriate experiences, students play, learn and understand more about phenomena and formulas in physics, chemistry, mathematics, geography, English, etc.

Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ha Nam, said that this is a meaningful activity for teachers and students to exchange, experience and approach new technology trends.

Opening his speech at this technology festival, Mr. Hoang Nam Tien presented the image of a man who "carved himself from a rock every day, until he became the most beautiful statue".

This expert believes that this is also the image of students, lecturers and teachers today. If they do not "carve" themselves, study all their lives to become the best version of themselves every day, they will soon become ordinary people and very likely become mediocre people, not respected by society in the future.

According to Mr. Tien, about 2.7 million Vietnamese workers in industrial parks are at risk of losing their jobs due to replacement by robots, and the unemployment age will be extremely young, even under 25.

Many industrial parks in Bac Ninh and Bac Giang have used robots to replace humans. One of the most modern factories in Vietnam for automobile manufacturing is using more than 1,000 robots for assembly, the ratio of robots here is higher than workers.

Therefore, to be able to take on new jobs, about 2.7 million of these workers will have to be retrained from scratch within the next 5-7 years.

"This is a reality happening in our country, not somewhere far away in the world. Artificial intelligence, typically ChatGPT, is gradually replacing humans. Specifically, about 40% of office workers, administrative personnel will lose their jobs in the very near future. Even 85% of accountants may be at risk of losing their jobs in the future, accountants with more than 20 years of experience, working diligently, hard-working, and carefully will also lose their jobs. Office workers, administrative personnel will also lose their jobs because most provinces and cities are gradually transforming digitally, not using documents. Even in the profession of programmers, about 40% of computer software commands are being adjusted by artificial intelligence, without the need for humans. Becoming a better version every day is extremely necessary, helping to ensure long-term survival," said Mr. Hoang Nam Tien.

When asked which profession will decline the fastest in the future, Mr. Tien said that the profession that will disappear soon is accounting, followed by teaching.

In about 7 years, teachers will be under great pressure because they will be replaced by artificial intelligence and robots. Therefore, according to this expert, real learning is the foundation for success.

"This is what we have learned from our own experience. Especially in today's education system, this is very important," said Mr. Hoang Nam Tien.
