Series of activities in response to Youth Month 2024

After the launching ceremony of Youth Month 2024 with the theme "Ninh Binh Youth Volunteering for Community Life", on the morning of February 26, the Youth Union at all levels coordinated to carry out many practical response activities, with a value of billions of VND.

* In Nam Binh ward (Ninh Binh city), the Provincial Youth Union organized the inauguration ceremony of the "Youth Tree Row" project.

Accordingly, from the support resources of the Provincial Youth Union, the Youth Union members and youth of Ninh Binh city have planted 100 new Yellow Anh flowers on a 600m long road in lane 7, Nam Binh street, Nam Binh ward. The total cost of the project is 105 million VND.

At the program, comrade Do Viet Anh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, together with leaders of the Provincial Youth Union and Ninh Binh city, pulled the ribbon to inaugurate the project and hand it over to the cadres and people of Nam Binh ward.

* Ninh Binh City Youth Union inaugurated the project "Youth ensures environmental sanitation and urban beauty" in the eastern area of Dinh Tien Hoang De Square (Ninh Khanh ward, Ninh Binh city).

With the spirit of action "Plant trees to make the city greener", Ninh Binh City Youth Union mobilized hundreds of working days of union members and young people of the city to organize cleaning and landscape renovation of an area of more than 10 hectares; at the same time, mobilized socialized resources with a total value of more than 1 billion VND to carry out the project.

In the coming time, Ninh Binh City Youth Union will plant and take care of 500 silver palm trees, 100 pink swallow trees, 500 laurel trees, 1,000 la han pine trees, 2,000 camphor trees; build a flower garden with about 10,000 sunflowers, sunflowers and many green trees to make this area a highlight of Ninh Binh city.

* At the historical relic and scenic spot of Non Nuoc Mountain and the Temple of cultural celebrity Truong Han Sieu, the Provincial Youth Union coordinated with the Youth Union of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) to inaugurate a free public Wifi hotspot.

The project is worth 60 million VND, thereby serving the digital transformation of the community and supporting tourism development of the province.

* At Le Hong Phong Primary School (Ninh Binh city), the Provincial Youth Union, the Provincial Pioneer Council, the Provincial Youth Center, the Ninh Binh City Youth Union in coordination with the Young Pioneer and Children Newspaper organized the launching ceremony of the Reading Culture movement for teenagers and children in the 2023-2024 school year.

Series of activities in response to Youth Month 2024 — Leaders of the Provincial Youth Union, Young Pioneer Newspaper and Children's Newspaper presented gifts to disadvantaged students of Le Hong Phong Primary School.

At the program, leaders of the Provincial Youth Union, Young Pioneers Newspaper and Children presented the school with 300 books, newspapers and 10 gifts for disadvantaged students of Le Hong Phong Primary School.

Through this, we aim to create a habit of reading and improve reading culture among teenagers and children; guide them to good things, love their homeland and country, and have confidence in life through good and useful books and newspapers.

* In Ninh Nhat commune, Ninh Binh City Youth Union organized the groundbreaking ceremony to build a Red Scarf House for Nguyen Thi Quynh Chi, a 6A student at Ninh Nhat Secondary School.

Quynh Chi’s family is in difficult circumstances. Her father and sister were exposed to Agent Orange, her mother has no stable job, and the family’s finances are tight. For many years, her family has lived in a house that was built a long time ago and is seriously degraded, but they have not had the means to repair or rebuild it.

Sharing the difficulties of her family, Ninh Binh City Youth Union proposed to the Provincial Youth Union to organize a survey and approve financial support under the Red Scarf House program.

Of which, the City Youth Union and the City Young Pioneers Council supported 50 million VND from donations and support from Youth Union chapters at all levels and 26 Young Pioneers of Primary and Secondary Schools in the city; teachers and students of Ninh Nhat Primary School supported 3.3 million VND; with the support of the Party Committee, Ninh Nhat Commune People's Committee, and the Commune Youth Union contributing working days to dismantle and rebuild the house.

* At Dong Thanh Ward Medical Station (Ninh Binh City), the Provincial Youth Union coordinated with the Vietnam Young Physicians Association to organize health examinations, consultations and provide free medicine for 150 poor households and policy families in Ninh Binh City, with a total implementation value of 30 million VND.

* At Dinh Tien Hoang De Square (Ninh Khanh Ward, Ninh Binh City), after the Youth Month 2024 launching ceremony, the Provincial Youth Union organized a training session on digital transformation and provided instructions on installing the MyNinhBinh application for more than 3,000 union members and young people.

MyNinhBinh application is built with the goal of becoming a comprehensive, official and unique communication channel for information exchange between the government and people and businesses; to build a modern and effective administrative service; to enhance transparency, responsibility, and better serve people and businesses.

In addition, the application is also an access point connecting to applications, providing necessary information to serve people in life; is a tool to support and promote the Digital Transformation process of Ninh Binh province.
