Join hands to improve the landscape of Phu Loc river

ĐNO - Previously, the pollution and environmental status of Phu Loc River directly affected the lives of the people. Recently, the Da Nang City Youth Union and the locality have joined hands to contribute to protecting water resources and improving the landscape of the river.

The project "Community joins hands to protect water resources and improve the landscape of Phu Loc River in Thanh Khe District" implemented by the Da Nang Youth Union is a city-level youth project with a budget of more than 700 million VND with the goal of raising awareness of people in the area about the issue of protecting water resources, improving and protecting the landscape of Phu Loc River.

This project will contribute to treating pollution on Phu Loc River, creating fresh air, and at the same time contributing to forming a cultural and civilized urban lifestyle associated with environmental protection.

About 190m of the wall along Phu Loc canal was cleaned and painted with murals with the theme of Green Da Nang. Here, the city’s youth union members will depict beautiful images of the city’s characteristics along with messages of joining hands to protect the environment and conserve water resources.

Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoa, a resident of this area, shared: "I find this a very meaningful activity, contributing to raising community awareness in participating in protecting the environment and water resources."

The units have built and repaired 140 flower beds along both sides of the river to beautify the landscape with specific tasks, rebuilt large flower beds along the riverbank railings, painted the flower beds and arranged the ornamental plant areas in the flower beds.

With meaningful activities, Da Nang youth wish to contribute their youth to landscape improvement and environmental sanitation, hoping that after completion, the project will become an attractive destination for all people.
