Attending the meeting were Mr. Lam Van Man, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Soc Trang province; Mr. Nguyen Huu Dung, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
At the working session, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Soc Trang province Duong Sa Kha reported on the preparation work, progress and results of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress at all levels of Soc Trang province, term 2024-2029.
According to Mr. Duong Sa Kha, as of March 18, the whole province had 10/109 commune-level Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of 6 districts, towns and cities completing their Congresses; it is expected that the commune-level Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress for the 2024-2029 term will be completed in April 2024. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee selected My Tu district as the focal point for the district-level Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress, scheduled to take place at the end of April 2024.
Party committees at all levels always pay attention to directing and promptly issuing documents directing the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels of Soc Trang province, term 2024-2029; pay attention to adjusting the structure of the executive committee and standing committee of the Party Committee at the commune level according to their authority, ensuring the structure of the Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee at the commune level is a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee at the same level.
"The Standing Committees of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province have proactively developed and promptly deployed documents directing and guiding the Congress at each level. At the same time, each content of the Congress preparation work has been carried out according to a specific time. Training on the preparation and organization of the Congress has been well organized, thereby helping cadres of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province grasp the viewpoints and content of the Congress," Mr. Duong Sa Kha informed.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien highly appreciated the regular and direct direction of the Standing Committee of the Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee on the preparation work for the Congress; at the same time, he assessed that the documents, emulation and propaganda work for the Congress were carried out quite well by the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Soc Trang province.
Chairman Do Van Chien noted that, regarding the Congress Documents, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Soc Trang province needs to deepen and expand democracy, thoroughly discuss and seek opinions on the action program towards building a self-governing, united, prosperous and happy residential area.
Chairman Do Van Chien also suggested that personnel preparation for the Provincial Congress should be carried out closely, selecting structure and composition in accordance with regulations.
Receiving the opinions of the working delegation, Secretary of the Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee Lam Van Man suggested that the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee pay more attention to the propaganda work on the congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels. Based on the opinions of the working delegation, Mr. Lam Van Man emphasized that the Provincial Party Committee will continue to pay attention to leading and directing the congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the province to be successful, fully meeting the requirements according to Directive No. 22-CT/TW, dated May 25, 2023 of the Secretariat on leading the organization of the congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels and the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024 - 2029.
