Deposit of 15.1 billion VND has not been recovered yet

(NLDO) - Up to now, individuals who are owed money for winning the auction of 205 land lots have not yet paid the 15.1 billion VND deposit as recommended by the Government Inspectorate.

On December 10, the People's Committee of Chu Se district, Gia Lai province, said it was recovering deposits from three individuals who were late in paying for winning the auction of 205 land lots in the planning area of ​​the Administrative Center and the Eastern Ecological Urban Area of ​​Chu Se town.

Previously, the Government Inspectorate pointed out that in 2019, the People's Committee of Chu Se district organized an auction of land use rights in the above planning area. However, 3 individuals, Ms. Ho Thi Hien, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Anh and Mr. Le Viet Duc, were 20 to over 300 days late in paying the auction winning money for 205 land lots.

Three people won the auction of 205 land lots in the planning area of ​​the Administrative Center and the Eastern Ecological Urban Area of ​​Chu Se town and then paid late.

However, the District Land Fund Development and Auction Supervision Council and the Chu Se District People's Committee did not cancel the auction results and did not recover the deposit of over VND 15.1 billion to the state budget. The Chu Se District People's Committee even allowed an extension of the time to pay the winning bid, which is against regulations.

The Government Inspectorate determined that the main responsibility for the individuals who were late in paying the auction winnings for land use rights belonged to Mr. Nguyen Hong Linh - former Chairman of the People's Committee of Chu Se district, currently Deputy Director of the Gia Lai Forest Protection and Development Fund; Mr. Nguyen Huu Tam, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Chu Se district; Head of the Chu Se - Chu Puh Tax Department and related departments.

Implementing the conclusion of the Government Inspectorate, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province requested to recover the deposit of over 15.1 billion VND from Ms. Ho Thi Hien, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Anh, and Mr. Le Viet Duc no later than the fourth quarter of 2024. However, up to now, according to the People's Committee of Chu Se district, the above people have not yet paid the above amount.

Assigned to be the focal point to monitor and urge units to implement the recovery of the above amount, the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Finance has sent a document requesting the People's Committee of Chu Se district to organize the payment of the amounts to the Government Inspectorate's account.
