TPO - The land area of the Da Lat Plaza Project was decided to be reclaimed by the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee due to many years of not putting the land into use. Previously, SCB Bank proposed to keep the land in its current state and not reclaim it, because the land was mortgaged at this bank to secure a loan with a principal debt of more than 1,000 billion VND and an interest debt of more than 600 billion VND.
On January 22, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee issued a decision to reclaim all of the more than 3,370 square meters of land assigned to Delta Tourism Joint Stock Company (Delta Company) in Da Lat City.
The land is located at 23 (now 33) Phan Nhu Thach, Ward 1, Da Lat City. This is part of the Da Lat Plaza project of Delta Company, a few kilometers from the center.

The Da Lat Plaza project, with a total investment of VND267 billion, was expected to build a modern hotel and commercial center complex. However, the decision to reclaim the land was made after Delta Company violated land laws.
According to Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, although the progress has been extended according to regulations, up to now, the land has not been put into use as committed.
Regarding this land, there is currently a dispute between Saigon Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SCB), Oak Hill Investment Joint Stock Company (Oak Hill Company) and Delta Company.
Accordingly, SCB Bank requested to maintain the current status of the land and not reclaim it. Because the land was mortgaged at this bank to secure a loan from Oak Hill Company, with a principal debt of more than VND 1,000 billion and an interest debt of more than VND 600 billion. This loan is among 1,243 loans related to the case of Ms. Truong My Lan.
Currently, land reclamation may affect SCB Bank's debt recovery ability, as the debt of more than VND 1,600 billion has not been resolved.
