Mr. Nam has a university degree in physical education. After reviewing the documents, balancing the assigned staff and being present, the Department of Home Affairs of Phu Tho province agreed to accept Mr. Nam to work at the education and training sector under the People's Committee of Thanh Son district, on the condition that he must accept the work assignment and submit all original documents and related papers.

Previously, the Vietnam Education Trade Union sent a dispatch to relevant units requesting consideration of transferring teacher Nguyen Dai Dinh Nam - husband of the teacher who died on the way to school in Ha Giang - to a job closer to home.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc An, Chairman of the Vietnam Education Trade Union, said that through initial discussions, the Department of Education and Training of Ha Giang and the Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho both supported the transfer and acceptance of Mr. Nam to work closer to home.

According to Mr. An, from the earnest wish of Mr. Nam's family, the Vietnam Education Trade Union requested the directors of the Departments of Education and Training, the directors of the Department of Home Affairs, the chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Son district, and related agencies and units to create conditions for Mr. Nguyen Dai Dinh Nam to be transferred to a primary school in Thanh Son district. This is where Mr. Nam's family is living. The transfer closer to home is suitable for his health and family circumstances, making it easier to take care of his two young children when his wife is no longer around.

"The creation of conditions and assistance by comrades shows concern for the special family situation of a citizen, and at the same time acknowledges the silent contributions of the teaching staff working in difficult areas," the official dispatch of the Vietnam Education Trade Union at that time stated.

Previously, on May 3, teacher Nguyen Dai Dinh Nam (teacher at Duong Thuong Primary School, Yen Minh District, Ha Giang Province) and his wife and child were in a serious accident on their way back to work at school.

As a result, the teacher's wife - teacher Mai Thi Yen (teacher at Duong Thuong Kindergarten, Yen Minh District, Ha Giang Province) - died. Teacher Nam himself was also seriously injured, had to have surgery to remove one kidney, and was transferred to Viet Duc Hospital, Hanoi, in poor health.

Mr. Nam and his wife's family situation is very pitiful. They are not well off financially, they have 2 small children, the older one is 10 years old, the younger one is 5 years old. The older child has to be sent to live with his grandparents in the countryside.
