The Hanoi Department of Transport has just announced a traffic organization plan that allows certain types of vehicles to continuously turn right at some intersections to ensure traffic order and safety, and reduce traffic congestion in the city during the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday.

Specifically, motorbikes and non-motorized vehicles are allowed to turn right continuously at 45 intersections. At the same time, the Hanoi Department of Transport allows all vehicles to turn right continuously at 35 intersections.
The Hanoi Department of Transport also reminded vehicles to pay attention and give way to pedestrians when turning right continuously at intersections. The implementation of the traffic organization plan begins at 6:00 a.m. on January 27.
The Hanoi Department of Transport requested the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to direct the police force and local authorities to arrange forces to coordinate with the Hanoi Department of Transport Inspectorate, the Traffic Police Department - Hanoi City Police and related units to regulate and guide traffic flow at intersections to avoid congestion and ensure traffic order and safety.
At the same time, strengthen inspection and handling of violations of traffic safety and urban order on roads and intersections. Relevant units monitor and evaluate traffic situations at intersections to promptly detect problems and propose appropriate traffic organization adjustments.
