Vietnamese music is waiting for new recruits with the hope that they will be real warriors in the future.
"All-round Rookie" is a reality TV show that applies a live competition format. Rookies not only have to compete with each other but also have to overcome international groups to prove their abilities and talents.
Competitive enough
The best rookies will be selected to form a band and debut. The show "All-Rookie" was a big hit in China in 2024, with a girl group version led by Lay (former member of EXO).
The goal of this first season of "All-round Rookie" in Vietnam is to create a boy band with enough qualifications and appeal to perform domestically and internationally. The rookies will undergo two professional training courses applied for the first time in Vietnam, according to international quality standards, with harsh challenges to prove their mettle.
30 rookies after a rigorous selection round will be led by famous artists. These are also all-round producers, with experience performing on big stages, as well as production ability and leadership spirit, namely Toc Tien, SOOBIN Hoang Son and Kay Tran. In which, Toc Tien and Kay Tran are two all-round producers, who will accompany the contestants throughout the journey. These artists not only have successful music careers but also affirm their mettle through popular reality TV shows such as "Sister Dep Dap Gio 2024" and "Anh Trai Vuon Ngan Cong Gai 2024".

In addition to having to meet strict standards, from singing, dancing to artistic thinking, even all-round producers must "fight" with each other, together with their rookies, to realize the dream of becoming a new generation idol. We can expect the success of "All-round Rookie" - 2025 because the program's training and development director is Hyuk Shin - the producer behind a series of hits by Justin Bieber, EXO, SHINee, Dean, NCT, Super Junior...
With extensive experience in producing K-pop and international hits, the "Hit-Making Wizard" will directly train and guide the musical style, helping the rookies develop the skills needed to become stars. "Hyuk Shin will accompany YeaH1 to build a strict and disciplined training roadmap, aiming to create all-round young artists with knowledge and courage, capable of competing in the world music market" - the program's production unit affirmed.
Approaching the world
Previously, this training model was also launched in Vietnam under the name "The Debut". The program was built as a reality TV show, bringing the opportunity to shine for young faces, with the judges being Hoang Thuy Linh, Huong Tram and Duc Phuc. At that time, the program did not create much attraction because the investment was not impressive, the judges did not have enough personality to make an impression and the contestants were also obscure because the production unit had not exploited the strengths of the contestants.
Quang Hung MasterD is one of the contestants discovered from "The Debut" but did not have the opportunity to develop at that time. That said, "All-round Rookie" - 2025 is highly anticipated. This will be a fierce arena, where the best candidates must break through, seize the opportunity to shine, from the selection stage to the training, performance, and competition stages to have a dream career.
Recently, singer Kiey (real name Vu Tuan Kiet) appeared in Times Square and attracted attention when he was introduced as a talented artist coming to Vietnam. Before Kiey, Vietnamese showbiz had many famous artists honored and introduced in Times Square such as My Tam, Hoang Thuy Linh, Suboi, Van Mai Huong, Bich Phuong, MIN, My Anh, Juky San, Orange, Phung Khanh Linh, Vu Cat Tuong... These are all artists who have had significant activities in the entertainment industry. The images of Vietnamese artists appearing on giant posters in Times Square made Vietnamese audiences proud.

Obviously, the stars of the previous generation still shine and work in their own way, but clearly, the picture of Vietnamese music is having more youthful colors, fresher and more creative, and most importantly, approaching the world.
"Rookie of the Year 2025" is expected to lay the foundation for a generation of professional idols who are competitive enough in the international market. "The big rewards that await are still secret but will definitely be very special for these young, talented artists," the producer shared.
