This year, the main essays of the contest revolve around 7 topics including: copyright, medicine and health, transportation, information, banking and finance, music, artificial intelligence assistant. Candidates can choose 1 of the 7 topics above to try.
In addition, the supplementary essay on AI tools in education is a familiar topic but also poses many challenges for candidates when having to combine technology and human emotions.
This year, in addition to the mandatory English writing, students are also encouraged to demonstrate their creativity by presenting their ideas in PowerPoint or short videos. This is a suitable change to help candidates explain their ideas with images and specific evidence so that the jury can have a more objective view of the message they want to convey.
The Organizing Committee notes that, in addition to preparing the content well, participating students need to clearly understand the requirements for the format of the writing. In season 1, the contest recorded many unfortunate cases when the exam was canceled due to incorrect format, thereby losing the opportunity to advance further into the next round of the contest. Especially this year, candidates will only have 1 chance to participate in the online round and win a ticket to the live presentation round with a panel of globally renowned professors.
According to the announcement on the official website, candidates will have one month (from September 9 to October 9) to complete the test and send it to the Organizing Committee's email address. The results of the round are expected to be announced on October 30.
All information has been posted on the website: vlabinnovation.com and is regularly updated on the official fanpage of the contest. The information portal and hotline of the Organizing Committee are also open 24/7 to promptly answer questions from candidates.
