According to initial information, the fire in the level 4 house above occurred at around 12 noon today (September 17).

Witnesses said that after discovering the fire, many people shouted and used mini fire extinguishers to try to put out the fire. Some people even stood on the roof of their neighbor's house to throw water on it, but the fire still burned fiercely.

After receiving the fire alarm, the Hanoi City Police Command Information Center dispatched 5 fire trucks from the Cau Giay and Bac Tu Liem District Police and the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 2 (Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department) to the scene.

Because the area where the fire broke out was a residential area containing many flammable goods, extinguishing the fire was difficult. At the same time, the fire area was located deep in a small alley, so the authorities had to drag a water pipe about 300m to put out the fire.
