Cang Long received a delegation of former officials of the Southern Vietnam Youth Union

Delegates burn incense at the Traditional House of Cang Long district, Hamlet 3A, An Truong commune, Cang Long district - where the first Party cell of Tra Vinh province was established.

On the morning of March 13, a delegation of 300 former Southern Youth Union officials led by Dr. Le Hong Liem, former Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Committee, Deputy Head of the Liaison Committee of Former Vietnamese Youth Union Officials, Head of the Liaison Committee of Former Vietnamese Youth Union Officials in the South, coordinated with Cang Long district to offer incense at the Traditional House of Cang Long district in Hamlet 3A, An Truong commune, Cang Long district - where the first Party cell of Tra Vinh province was established; Memorial stele of Youth Union officials in Rach Ro II hamlet, Nhi Long commune.

Receiving and joining the delegation were comrades: Tran Thi Bich Phuong, Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of Cang Long District Party Committee; Nguyen Van Trieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of District Party Committee, Chairman of District People's Council; comrade Tran Minh Thanh, Deputy Secretary of District Party Committee, Chairman of District People's Committee.

At the places they visited, the delegation listened to explanations about the establishment process of the first Party cell of Tra Vinh province and the construction process of the Memorial Stele of the Union cadres who heroically sacrificed their lives during the resistance war against America to save the country by the Party Committee and people of Cang Long district.

At the working session with the leaders of Cang Long district with the program "Journey of 20 years old" - Tra Vinh is deeply grateful and has a desire to reach far; on behalf of the leaders of Cang Long district, comrade Tran Thi Bich Phuong said: after 2 resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, the whole district had 4,126 martyrs; nearly 3,000 wounded and sick soldiers; 12,241 people with meritorious services to the revolution; the district has 13 individuals honored by the State as Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, 1,063 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.

Secretary of Cang Long District Party Committee Tran Thi Bich Phuong spoke at the meeting.

Up to now, the district has 13/13 communes recognized as new rural communes; the district has been recognized as a new rural district; the Prime Minister recognized Cang Long district as a safe zone during the resistance war against France and the US.

The District Party Secretary expressed his respect for the former Youth Union cadres who have actively contributed to the development of the district over the past time; wishing the former Youth Union cadres good health to continue contributing to the increasingly prosperous homeland of Cang Long.

At the meeting, on behalf of the delegation, Dr. Le Hong Liem, Head of the Southern Youth Union Former Cadres Liaison Committee, sincerely thanked the Party Committee and People of Cang Long district for protecting and sheltering the comrades during the fighting time; and appreciated the sentiments of the Party Committee and the Cang Long district government for the former Youth Union cadres, a special, deep and affectionate affection.

On this occasion, the Southern Youth Union Former Cadres Liaison Committee presented 250 books to each commune of An Truong and Nhi Long.
