Fishing boat NT 02038TS of Ninh Thuan province was sunk by waves.

Previously, on the morning of March 7, ship NT 02038TS, owned and captained by Mr. Nguyen Huu Niem, born in 1981, from Dong Hai ward, Phan Rang - Thap Cham city, Ninh Thuan province, while anchored in the waters of Da Lat island area, the ship broke its anchor, waves hit the shoal, the ship's bottom was punctured and it gradually sank, with 4 fishermen on board. The island observed and notified ship 960, which was on duty in the area, to coordinate in rescuing the fishermen from the ship.

At 3:30 p.m. on March 8, ship 960 carrying 4 fishermen arrived at the island to confirm the incident of the ship being stranded and sunk by waves and to request support. The island supported the ship with 30 kg of rice, 1 carton of instant noodles, 20 cans of canned meat and some other essential items. Officers and soldiers on the island also visited and encouraged the fishermen on ship NT 02038TS. At 4:45 p.m. the same day, the island coordinated with ship 960 carrying 4 fishermen to fishing ship NT 90018TS, captained by Nguyen Ngoc Dung from the same locality, so that the 4 fishermen could reach shore; at 6 p.m., the 4 fishermen got on the ship to ensure safety.
