Trung Tien village has a natural area of 140 hectares with 193 households and 792 people. People's lives mainly depend on pure agricultural production. In recent times, the village has focused on mobilizing people to help each other develop the economy and escape poverty sustainably. Currently, there are 5 economic models in the village, with annual income from 50 to 100 million VND. Average income reaches over 42 million VND/person/year. The poverty rate is 3.1%, near-poverty rate is 1.03%.
The village has maintained the title of "Cultural Village" for 4 consecutive years; the rate of cultural families reaches 97.2%, and sports families reach 40%.
In 2024, the village determined to continue promoting the transformation of crop and livestock structure, applying science and technology to livestock farming, production to develop the economy, increase income; continue to improve the construction of cultural residential areas, striving for over 98% of cultural families; maintain and promote cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities, promote the movement of studiousness, build studious families, studious clans; continue to promote the 5 contents of the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas"; the campaign "Fund for the poor"...

Speaking at the festival, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung emphasized that solidarity is a precious tradition, a source of strength, an important driving force, and a decisive factor in all victories of the revolutionary cause. In particular, since the establishment of the Party, the people of all ethnic groups in Vietnam have always been united in following the Party in the cause of national liberation, national unification, and building and defending the Fatherland. The Minister requested the cadres and people of Trung Tien village as well as Huong Khe district in particular, and the whole Ha Tinh province in general, to thoroughly grasp Ho Chi Minh's ideology, the Party's guidelines, policies and strategies, continue to consolidate and strengthen the great national unity bloc; promote democracy; preserve and cultivate village and neighborhood affection; bring the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" into depth, substance and sustainability, in association with other patriotic campaigns and emulation movements.
Implement well the grassroots democracy regulations, listen to the opinions, thoughts and aspirations of the people. Promote the role of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations in implementing patriotic emulation campaigns and movements, especially in building new rural areas; participate in criticism and giving suggestions to Party committees and authorities; supervise and give suggestions to cadres.

Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung presented 10 cows worth 150 million VND to Huong Khe district.

Regarding Dien My commune, the Minister of Planning and Investment said that the locality is a low-lying commune of Huong Khe, which is flooded almost every year. Therefore, he requested that all levels, sectors and people take the initiative in preventing natural disasters, not be subjective; and absolutely protect the safety of people when the rainy and flood season comes. The Ministry of Planning and Investment will coordinate with central ministries and sectors to find appropriate solutions to help Huong Khe flood center cut off and reduce floods in the coming time.
In the atmosphere of the National Great Unity Day, the Minister of Planning and Investment also expressed his belief that the spirit of solidarity and unity of the people of Trung Tien village will continue to be firmly consolidated; the close relationship between the people and the Party and the government will continue to be strengthened; creating great strength, contributing to soon bringing Dien My commune, Huong Khe district to meet new rural standards.

Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung presented the symbol of 100 gifts to people in the flooded area of Huong Khe.
Previously, from October 28 to October 31, 2023, the district had moderate to heavy rain, with some places experiencing very heavy rain; the total average rainfall reached nearly 700 mm; the flood peak measured at Ngan Sau River (Chu Le) was 14.39 m (0.39 m above alert level 3). The flood caused severe damage to the locality. There were 3 deaths, 2 injuries; 3,749 houses were flooded; 3,202 households were isolated; 42 village meeting halls, 16 schools, 3 commune People's Committee offices, 4 medical stations, and 2 commune post offices were flooded and damaged.
Many traffic and irrigation infrastructure works were flooded and seriously damaged by erosion; the Tat dam - Hoa Hai commune and the Cay San dam - Gia Pho commune had their dam bodies broken; 164.5 hectares of winter crops and 171.8 hectares of fruit trees were damaged; unsown winter seeds were damaged, more than 44 tons were swept away. The total damage was over 150 billion VND.
In Ha Linh commune alone, floods killed 2 people in village 12. There were 26 roads with landslides due to flooding, 9.5 km long. Floods caused flooding of crops, including 10 hectares of corn, 12 hectares of grapefruit, 3 hectares of oranges, 3 hectares of vegetables and 18 hectares of other crops. Dien My commune had 44 landslides with a length of 4.757 km. Floods caused flooding of more than 200 households and damaged many public works.
Sharing the difficulties and losses with the people, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung presented 100 gifts worth 120 million VND to the flood victims of Ha Linh and Dien My communes.
