Appreciating the achievements that the Foreign Affairs sector has achieved in recent times, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnamese representative agencies abroad for accompanying and thinking about Vietnamese agricultural products, "giving wings" to Vietnamese agricultural products to go everywhere, bringing the image of the country and the image of responsible Vietnamese farmers to the international community. The Minister affirmed that the Agricultural sector cannot go alone, but needs to go with other ministries and branches to go faster, in line with the world.
Minister Le Minh Hoan shared that the world economic situation continues to be complicated and difficult, food security has become an urgent global issue; the output market is shrinking, the trend of trade protectionism is increasing; countries are stepping up the implementation of new regulations and standards in international trade, directly affecting Vietnam's agricultural, forestry and fishery exports. The agricultural sector is facing three "changes": Climate change, market fluctuations and changes in the world's green consumption trends.
Therefore, promoting economic diplomacy to support the agricultural sector in the current period is extremely necessary, contributing to the implementation of the Government's and the Prime Minister's instructions on removing difficulties for the export of agricultural, forestry and fishery products, serving the goal of maintaining economic growth, contributing to the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.
