Recently, in Quy Nhon City (Binh Dinh Province), the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade) coordinated with the Department of Industry and Trade of Binh Dinh Province to organize a training conference on e-commerce knowledge for state management officials and enterprises in Binh Dinh Province, in order to improve capacity and guide e-commerce application skills for production and business activities of enterprises and organizations in the province.
Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Director of the Center for E-commerce Development (Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy) said that in recent years, Vietnam's e-commerce has recorded rapid and strong growth. However, Vietnam's e-commerce still has some shortcomings, difficulties and inadequacies, such as: The situation of fake goods, violations of consumer rights in the e-commerce environment; The uneven development of e-commerce between urban and rural areas as well as between major cities in Vietnam; The fragmentation and lack of connectivity in e-commerce between regions; Limitations in infrastructure and logistics serving e-commerce...

Regarding new trends in e-commerce, Mr. Le Trung Dung, in charge of operating the ECVN platform to support Vietnamese export enterprises, shared two articles related to the diverse application of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for small and medium-sized business owners to improve competitiveness; Benefits and the right development direction of LiveCommerce, SocialCommerce, shoppertainment for businesses applying e-commerce.
Mr. Dung said that the development of artificial intelligence (AI) has provided businesses in the e-commerce industry with new tools and techniques to optimize business processes and enhance user experience. In particular, AI can be applied in e-commerce such as: Supporting content writing, creating images and videos for e-commerce; Automating workflows (processing records, classifying data, internal interactions via chatbots); Analyzing data and forecasting the market, consumer trends, customer behavior, etc.; Managing logistics.
Updating businesses on current online sales methods, Mr. Dung introduced three new methods: Live Commerce (also known as Live Shopping); Social Commerce; Shoppertainment (a combination of two factors: shopper and entertainment).
“The above mentioned online sales methods have helped businesses increase their ability to reach customers; increase customer trust; optimize advertising costs as well as increase sales,” Mr. Dung affirmed.

Also at the conference, Mr. Vu Minh Ngoc, Expert from the Center for E-commerce Development, shared with delegates the following contents: Customer data management in e-commerce and consumer protection in the field of e-commerce.
Regarding the content of e-commerce market analysis, Mr. Nguyen Tat Huu, Business Development Director, Data Science Joint Stock Company introduced the entire process of e-commerce market analysis through online trading floors. He affirmed the importance of market analysis on online trading floors, thanks to this analysis, businesses will have the most comprehensive overview from which to make the right development orientation.
The knowledge shared at the conference was highly appreciated by the business community in many different manufacturing and business sectors for its quality and practicality.
In the coming time, the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy will continue to implement many programs to support individuals, business households and enterprises in many localities across the country to promote the development of goods and services trading in the online environment.
