(HNM) - In 2023, Binh Duong province will simultaneously implement many key infrastructure projects at the provincial and regional levels. The provincial government, localities, departments, branches and related units are making efforts to speed up site clearance to implement projects on schedule.
As a key project of Binh Duong province, the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 13 is being vigorously implemented by the construction unit. According to records at the construction site, the construction unit is implementing the sections that have been cleared. However, the power lines have not been buried underground, and some sections that have not been cleared have affected the construction process.
According to the Department of Transport of Binh Duong province, the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 13 is nearly 13km long, increasing from 6 lanes to 8 lanes. Up to now, the section passing through Thu Dau Mot city, the province has approved the compensation plan for 23 households and 1 organization, with an amount of more than 103 billion VND; of which, compensation has been paid to 20 households and 1 organization, with an amount of nearly 99 billion VND. 16 households and 1 organization have handed over the site, reaching 71% of the plan.
Chairman of Thuan An City People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Tam said that the National Highway 13 project, the section through Thuan An City, has 464 households and 52 organizations within the clearance scope. Up to now, the compensation and support plan has been approved for 293 households and 24 organizations/VND1,765.9 billion (reaching 61%); compensation and support have been paid to 235 households and 8 organizations/VND1,412.2 billion (reaching 77%). Of which, 92 households and 15 organizations have handed over the site, reaching 34% compared to the households and organizations approved.
On the local side, Bau Bang district has a key project, the Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang dynamic route. The route is 48km long, divided into 4 component projects, with a total investment of nearly 3,800 billion VND. Chairman of Bau Bang District People's Committee Vo Thanh Giau said that the project has handed over the site, reaching 99% of the progress. In the coming time, the district requested the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects in the area to actively coordinate with relevant units to speed up the progress of clearing the remaining site so that the project can be completed on schedule.
Another typical key project of regional connectivity that is also being implemented by Binh Duong province is Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 (Ring Road 3). The Binh Duong Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board is proposing that the Provincial People's Committee direct the People's Committees of Thu Dau Mot, Thuan An and Di An cities to speed up the appraisal and approval of compensation, support and resettlement plans, and is determined to disburse capital equivalent to 30% of the site clearance volume before June 30. It is expected that 70% of the entire route will be handed over in June to ensure the project's commencement, meeting the requirements for completion in 2025 and putting it into operation from 2026.
As the locality where the Ring Road 3 project passes through, Thu Dau Mot City is expected to complete the disbursement of VND800 billion in compensation to households this June. Vice Chairman of Thu Dau Mot City People's Committee Vo Chi Thanh informed that the city has 312 affected households with compensation of about VND1,200 billion. The city will support people with legal procedures related to land and construction to quickly stabilize their lives.
Deputy Director of the Binh Duong Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board Vo Ngoc Sang said that the Ring Road 3 project, section through Binh Duong, is more than 26km long. The project has more than 1,500 affected cases, with a recovered land area of nearly 86 hectares, of which nearly 1,000 cases are compensated with an amount of about 13,528 billion VND. Up to now, the Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee has issued the unit price of land for compensation, support and resettlement of the project. On June 2, the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board coordinated with the Thu Dau Mot City Land Fund Development Center to organize the payment of support and compensation. The total amount of compensation and support in Thu Dau Mot City is about 850 billion VND.
