Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang presents gifts to families in difficult circumstances in Quang Ruc village.

To achieve the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for people with meritorious services and poor households by the end of 2025, the Standing Committee of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee has decided to establish a Steering Committee to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province. The Steering Committee consists of 21 members. Comrade Tran Duc Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, is the Head of the Committee.

The 2 Deputy Heads of the Committee include comrades: Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Le Ngoc Chau, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

The remaining members are leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of provincial departments, branches, sectors and unions.

The Steering Committee will direct and coordinate the implementation of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the province to ensure the goal of completing housing support for people with revolutionary contributions and eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for people outside the above support group by the end of 2025.

Specific tasks of Steering Committee members and Steering Committee Support Team members are assigned by the Head of the Steering Committee.

According to the report of the Provincial People's Committee sent to the Ministry of Construction, Hai Duong currently has a total of 3,006 households of people with meritorious services to the revolution, relatives of martyrs and 981 poor households according to the multidimensional poverty standard for the period 2021-2025 in rural areas in need of housing support. Of which, 2,336 households need to build new houses, the remaining 1,651 households need to renovate and repair.
