Provincial Party Secretary received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Vietnam

Dien Bien TV - On the afternoon of March 15, comrade Tran Quoc Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, received Ms. Urawadee Sriphiromya, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Vietnam. Attending the reception were comrades: Lo Van Phuong, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Cao Thi Tuyet Lan, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Secretary of the Dien Bien District Party Committee; Lo Van Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Lo Thi Luyen, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches.

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong informed about some outstanding results in socio-economic development; potential and strengths for developing agricultural, forestry and tourism production of the province.

At the meeting, Ms. Urawadee Sriphiromya, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Vietnam, expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome of Dien Bien province to the delegation and expressed her joy at the increasingly good friendship between Thailand and Vietnam.

During this visit, in addition to clearly feeling the cultural exchange between the two countries, the Ambassador assessed that Dien Bien is a locality with many strengths to develop agriculture, tourism and ecology. After this visit, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Vietnam will support connecting businesses and investors in Thailand to survey, research and implement investment projects, cooperation in the fields of agriculture, trade and tourism in Dien Bien province; introduce Thai organizations and individuals to visit and learn about cooperation and investment opportunities in Dien Bien province. Along with that is the desire to promote the teaching of Thai language in Dien Bien; build a cultural tourism street in Dien Bien to connect the culture between Dien Bien and Thailand...

At the meeting, Comrade Tran Quoc Cuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized: the visit is an important activity, contributing to promoting the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Thailand. After informing about some outstanding results in socio-economic development; potentials and strengths for developing agricultural, forestry and tourism production of the province.

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong expressed his hope that in the near future, Dien Bien province will have the opportunity to cooperate and open Thai language training classes in the province; send Dien Bien students to Thailand to learn about tourism, information technology, etc. Regarding tourism, Dien Bien and Thailand can develop in many forms, in which, the province will soon send a working delegation to Thailand to visit, learn, and exchange experiences; research and survey the development of bicycle tours from Dien Bien to Laos, Thailand, etc. The province also hopes to introduce a locality in Thailand to have the opportunity to connect and promote cooperation between the two sides.
