According to the report of the Department of Finance, as of mid-February 2025, the total area planted with winter crops reached 92.3% of the plan, and preparations for the spring crop are actively being implemented. The livestock industry remains stable, however, African swine fever still appears in some localities. Forestry work reached 8% of the annual plan.

The industry recorded positive growth with the industrial production index in February increasing by 40% over the same period last year. The industrial production value reached 182 billion VND, the accumulated value in 2 months reached 412.2 billion VND, up 35.02% over the same period.

Trade and services remained vibrant, especially during the Lunar New Year. Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in February reached VND1,036 billion, up 31.7% over the same period. Import-export activities also recorded a growth rate of 6% over the previous year. In February, the province also implemented a plan to organize the Bac Kan Culture - Tourism Week 2025.

Total state budget revenue as of February 20, 2025 reached VND 121.9 billion, equal to 12.93% of the central government's estimate. Disbursement of public investment capital continues to be promoted with the disbursement rate in 2025 reaching 18% of the plan.

In the social sector, the health situation is stable, with no major epidemics occurring. The Education and Training sector has organized the provincial-level excellent secondary school student exam and prepared for the assessment of national standard schools. Cultural and sports activities have taken place vigorously, serving spring festivals in the area. Labor and employment work has achieved positive results with 1,000 workers finding jobs in the first two months of the year. The province has also implemented many social security policies, supporting the poor and those with revolutionary contributions.

Political security and social order and safety were maintained. In February, the province had 14 criminal cases, down from the same period last year. The military enlistment ceremony took place quickly and safely, achieving 100% of the assigned target. Traffic order and safety work continued to be implemented, contributing to reducing traffic accidents compared to the same period last year.

Discussing at the meeting, based on the assessment of the results of February, many delegates suggested that the Provincial People's Committee continue to focus on directing units and localities to accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital, support business development, promote forest protection and disease prevention; strongly implement administrative reforms and improve provincial competitiveness to attract investment...

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that in the coming time, departments, branches and localities need to focus on directing and operating, innovating, shortening time, improving work quality and efficiency to achieve the set goals in 2025.

The Chairman of the People's Committee emphasized: “The current situation has many new tasks and new issues. The whole province needs to be determined and make efforts, in which comrades assigned tasks must enhance their sense of responsibility to direct work continuously, without interruption, closely following the set goals and tasks such as budget revenue growth, disbursement progress, economic growth and other socio-economic goals. Speed ​​up the progress of public investment projects to contribute to budget revenue growth. Increase support for non-budgetary investment because since the beginning of the year, many investors have come to learn about the province. Proactively have strong solutions to attract workers from other provinces to work in Bac Kan”.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also urged departments, branches, sectors and localities to implement drastically, synchronously and effectively, determined to complete the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the whole province in 2025. Agencies and units subject to merger must urgently stabilize their work, continue to arrange and streamline their internal apparatus in accordance with regulations./.
