The 5th Party Congress of the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism, term 2025 - 2030

(LĐ online) - On March 18, the Party Committee of the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism solemnly held the 5th Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

The tourism industry has strongly recovered after the Covid-19 pandemic, continuing to affirm the position of Lam Dong tourism as an attractive destination on the map of Vietnam tourism. The mass sports movement has developed extensively, high-performance sports have made encouraging progress.

Along with effectively leading the implementation of professional tasks, the Party Committee always focuses on leading political and ideological work, organizing cadres, building grassroots party organizations, and developing party members. In 5 years, the entire Party Committee has admitted 29 party members, bringing the total number of party members to 114 comrades. Every year, 98-100% of party members are assessed as having completed their tasks well, with no party members failing to complete their tasks.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Hoang Van Bang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee acknowledged and commended the achievements of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Party Committee in the past term; at the same time, he directed "The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Party Committee needs to carry out a number of tasks and solutions in the new term 2025 - 2030: It is necessary to pay special attention to improving the leadership capacity, fighting strength, promoting the political core role of the grassroots Party organization, because if the Party wants to be strong, first of all, the grassroots Party organization must be truly clean and strong, each Party member must promote his or her role well. Strictly implement the 4th Central Resolution on Party building and rectification in conjunction with "Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" with high political determination. Continue to perfect the organizational apparatus, structure of the staff, civil servants and public employees, streamline the payroll, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations.

Each cadre and party member needs to continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, creativity, innovation in thinking and drastic action to well perform the tasks of the industry".

During the 2025 - 2030 term, the Party Committee of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism set out many targets along with tasks and solutions for implementation. By 2030, 97% of households will be recognized as Cultural Families; 99.6% of villages, hamlets and residential groups will be recognized and maintain the title of cultural residential areas; 100% of wards and towns will meet urban civilized standards; 20 art performance programs will be developed; 1,200 artifacts and images of historical and cultural value will be added; 2,700 performances and film screenings will be held to serve remote areas and ethnic minority areas; 50,000 new copies of books, newspapers and magazines will be added; 675 mobile information team activities will be organized.

By 2030, the number of people participating in regular physical exercise will reach 40%, the number of sports families will reach 30%; the number of clubs and facilities operating physical exercise will reach 1,230 clubs; improve sports achievements at national and international tournaments; organize traditional sports tournaments well every year; focus on training 300 - 350 athletes/year for 15 - 18 sports; send about 750 - 800 athletes to participate in 65 - 70 national and international tournaments, achieving 250 - 300 medals of all kinds.

Strive for the number of tourists registering for accommodation to increase by an average of 8 - 10% per year; in which international visitors account for 9 - 12% of the total number of visitors; the average length of stay of tourists is 2.7 days or more. Continue to develop the system of high-class tourist accommodation establishments, by 2030 the number of rooms meeting 3 - 5 star standards will be about 15,000 rooms, accounting for over 35% of the total number of rooms in the tourist accommodation establishment system and over 50% of the total number of rooms meeting 1 - 5 star standards in the province. Attract over 20,000 workers directly working in tourism enterprises and tourism services; of which 90% of workers have been trained and fostered in tourism and foreign languages.

Continue to promote the role of the press and publishing in protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against hostile and erroneous viewpoints by strengthening the leadership, direction, orientation and management of the press and publishing. Focus on directing and orienting press and publishing agencies; at the same time, build a mechanism to provide timely information to the press and publishing; grasp and promptly resolve newly arising issues, not creating information gaps for unofficial sources to take advantage of and disseminate inaccurate information.
