Quang Tri General Hospital held a ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day

This afternoon, February 21, Quang Tri General Hospital held a ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day, February 27 (1955-2025), awarding the title of "Excellent Doctor" to 4 doctors of the hospital. Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Chien Thang and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam attended the ceremony.

Speaking at the celebration, Director of the Provincial General Hospital Phan Xuan Nam said that the celebration is an opportunity to review the glorious tradition of the health sector and the Provincial General Hospital; to pay tribute to generations of doctors and medical staff who have devoted themselves to the cause of caring for and protecting people's health; and to evaluate the achievements and future development orientations.

Through many stages of development, the Provincial General Hospital has continuously grown, establishing its position as a leading provincial hospital, playing a core role in medical examination, treatment and health care for the people.

Over the years, the hospital has achieved many outstanding results, applying many advanced techniques and methods in diagnosis and treatment, improving the quality of medical services. The number of outpatient and inpatient examinations and treatments is increasing, the rate of treatment and patient satisfaction is increasing.

Many new techniques in surgery, resuscitation, emergency, stroke, cardiovascular, oncology, endoscopy, and pediatrics have been successfully deployed, helping people access quality medical services right in the locality. The hospital also plays a key role in the effective treatment of COVID-19, dengue fever, influenza A, etc.; focusing on free medical examination and treatment programs for the poor, policy families, and people in remote areas.

Training, professional development, scientific research, cooperation with major central hospitals, and international cooperation are always focused on by the hospital.

Thanks to that, the hospital has a large number of highly qualified doctors, meeting the requirements of deep medical theory, good medical skills, and good medical ethics. The hospital always aims at comprehensive care, improving the spirit of service, focusing on patients, creating solid trust and increasing satisfaction of the people.

Congratulating the staff and medical staff of the Provincial General Hospital, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam acknowledged the achievements and comprehensive and strong development of the hospital in recent times.

Facing many difficulties and challenges, generations of hospital staff have promoted the spirit of solidarity, proactiveness, flexibility, along with many concerns to innovate and improve, successfully completing the task of protecting, caring for and improving people's health.

The hospital's facilities have been gradually invested to be on par with hospitals in the region; medical examination and treatment have made remarkable progress; many new, modern, and specialized techniques have been mastered.

In particular, putting the radiotherapy area into operation at the Oncology Department helps diagnose and treat accurately, improving the examination and treatment capacity for cancer patients in the province as well as neighboring localities.

Many doctors have been recognized nationwide for their achievements in medical treatment, contributing positively to improving the position of the Provincial General Hospital in particular and the provincial health sector in general. Patient satisfaction with the Provincial General Hospital is increasingly improving.

Especially in the fight against COVID 19, the contribution of the team of doctors, medical staff and medical staff of the hospital as well as the whole industry is immeasurable. They have accepted to sacrifice themselves to take good care of the sick, which is the most authentic proof, a typical image and a good quality of "A good doctor is like a mother" as taught by beloved Uncle Ho.

On this occasion, 4 doctors of the Provincial General Hospital were awarded the title of "Excellent Physician" including: Phan Xuan Nam, Director of the Provincial General Hospital; Le Van Lam, Deputy Director of the Provincial General Hospital; Le Hoai Nhan, Head of the Obstetrics Department and Phan Khanh Viet, Head of the General Surgery Department of the Provincial General Hospital.
