(NADS) - Le Thuy District of Quang Binh Province is a locality with two national cultural heritages, including the traditional boat racing on Kien Giang River and the new rice offering festival of the Bru Van Kieu ethnic group. However, to date, no artisans have been recognized for these cultural forms.
Therefore, it is necessary for the cultural sector to quickly intervene and recognize artisans, such as boat builders, boat rowers, wooden fish beaters, etc., to preserve and develop these traditional cultures. In addition, it is also necessary to recognize Bru Van Kieu folk singers, folk artists of the new rice worshiping ritual, etc. to ensure the sustainability and development of this cultural heritage.
Furthermore, the Heritage Association and folk art associations need to quickly propose the protection and development of art forms such as My Thuy bai choi, Quy Hau conical hat weaving, An Xa sedge mat weaving, etc. to create a highlight for tourism. This will not only help develop local culture but also bring economic benefits to the people.
Preserving and developing cultural heritage not only ensures the diversity and richness of Vietnamese culture but also creates economic and tourism development opportunities for the locality.
