Preserving and promoting the cultural values of Ha Giang people

Attending the conference were comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department; leaders of central ministries, departments and branches; Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of Ha Giang province; departments, departments, branches, armed forces and districts and cities; experts, scientists, artists and folk artisans.

Mr. Thao Hong Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Ha Giang province said: As a mountainous border province in the far north of the country, Ha Giang is a land of majestic and beautiful natural scenery and a long-standing cultural history; it is home to 19 ethnic groups, each of which possesses unique cultural values, contributing to creating a rich, diverse, unified and unique cultural appearance.

After more than 130 years of formation and development and more than 30 years of re-establishment of the province, the Party Committee, government and people of Ha Giang province have been striving to overcome difficulties, promote cultural values, human strength, constantly consolidate the great solidarity of ethnic groups, promote socio-economic development, ensure national defense and security and maintain national border sovereignty. The intangible cultural heritages that have been preserved and restored have been promoted and have become attractive tourism products, contributing significantly to promoting the image of Ha Giang land and people, contributing to improving cultural life at the grassroots level and developing the local socio-economy.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, assessed that Ha Giang province's organization of the Cultural Conference is of special significance. Through this, it identifies and systems the cultural values and standard values of Ha Giang people as the driving force and resource for rapid and sustainable development in the new period.

Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia suggested: Ha Gang province needs to promote the dissemination and effective dissemination of 6 groups of tasks and 4 groups of solutions on building and developing Vietnamese culture and people, which were emphasized by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the National Cultural Conference.

He suggested that, immediately after the conference, the province study and issue a specialized resolution of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee on building and developing Ha Giang culture and people to unify will, action, and synchronously and resolutely deploy solutions from now until 2030, with a vision to 2045.

Ha Giang needs to deeply understand and fully grasp the Party's viewpoints and guiding thoughts on culture, raise awareness of the position, role and tasks of building and developing culture and people in the cause of rapid and sustainable development. Clearly identify the building and development of culture as a breakthrough, a key task of Party committees, authorities, and the entire political system from the province to the grassroots, associated with the role and responsibility of the leader.

The Head of the Central Propaganda Department suggested that the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee should focus on implementing the national value system, cultural value system, family value system and Vietnamese human standards in a creative way, suitable to practical conditions. The province needs to pay attention to leading and directing the concretization, bringing the value systems deeply into the lives of the people, becoming the goal and driving force for the cause of building and developing the culture and people of Ha Giang. Innovate thinking, improve the effectiveness of state management of culture in the area. Strengthen close coordination between departments, branches and organizations; further improve the quality and effectiveness of the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life", associated with eliminating backward customs and practices, building a civilized lifestyle.

Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized: Ha Giang is one of the localities honored to welcome Uncle Ho to visit and he left 8 valuable instructions for the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups. Therefore, the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Ha Giang province need to promote the spirit of solidarity, unanimous determination to build culture, improve people's knowledge, develop people comprehensively through specific and practical actions... to bring Ha Giang to develop quickly and sustainably in the northernmost part of the country.

On behalf of the leaders of Ha Giang province, Acting Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Dung emphasized: The 2023 Ha Giang Provincial Cultural Conference is an important forum for Ha Giang to continue raising awareness, clearly defining its mindset and responsibility, and joining hands to build and develop culture and people, meeting the requirements of rapid and sustainable development in the coming period.

On the basis of thoroughly grasping the Party's viewpoints and guidelines, the State's policies and laws, and the direction of the Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia, and in order for the Ha Giang Provincial Cultural Conference to spread widely and quickly enter into social life, the Propaganda Department of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee needs to closely coordinate with all levels, sectors, units, and localities and proactively consult with experts and specialized agencies at the Central level, continue to summarize theory and practice, advise the Provincial Party Committee to issue a specialized Resolution on "Building and developing Ha Giang culture and people to meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable development"; at the same time, advise specific solutions to soon bring the content of the Cultural Conference into life.
