(CLO) This website is expected to become a "living museum" preserving valuable images and documents, depicting the 65-year journey of steadfast friendship.
On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam - Cuba diplomatic relations (December 2, 1960 - December 2, 2025), Granma Newspaper, the mouthpiece of the Communist Party of Cuba, officially launched a special page "Cuba and Vietnam: Common Paths" (Cuba y Vietnam: Lo del andar) to recreate and honor the special solidarity between the two peoples.

Not simply a collection of time-worn images and articles, this page is also a "memory museum" that vividly recreates emotional historical moments: from the steadfast oath of leader Fidel Castro "For Vietnam, Cuba is willing to sacrifice its blood", to the radiant smile of President Ho Chi Minh when welcoming the Cuban delegation, or the ships loaded with sugar cane from Cuba docking at Hai Phong port, a symbol of sharing and brotherhood.
The year 2025 has a special significance, as Vietnam and Cuba celebrate the "Year of Friendship" and welcome important events in Vietnam: the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the 80th anniversary of National Day and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South. The launch of the special page "Cuba and Vietnam: Common Paths" on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the publication of the first issue of Granma newspaper further enhances the historical value and significance of this event.
Thanks to the digitization of the massive archive, readers can now admire more than 5,000 articles from the anti-American resistance war, 200 rare color photos of Hanoi in the 1970s, and the original emotional speech of leader Fidel Castro in Quang Tri in 1973.
Granma Editor-in-Chief Yailin Orta Rivera, in a message to readers, affirmed that the newspaper is not only a storyteller of the past but also a creator of the future. Granma is working closely with Nhan Dan Newspaper to carry out digital media projects, produce a 4K documentary about the 65-year journey of Vietnam - Cuba relations and prepare for the virtual reality exhibition "Ho Chi Minh - Fidel: Two men, one ideal".
Inspired by the song "Lo del andar" by Cuban singer and musician Silvio Rodríguez, the page titled "Cuba and Vietnam: Common Paths" is a tribute to the borderless, distanceless friendship between the two peoples, a love that will continue to be nurtured and developed in the future.
