On the Union's birthday, young people invited each other to donate blood voluntarily.

On the morning of March 26, thousands of young people gathered at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion to participate in the “Appointment with Youth” Blood Donation Festival on the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

Arriving early at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, Mr. Bui Thanh Ha - also known as Ha "coi", co-pilot of Vietjet Air (23 years old, living in Hanoi) anxiously waited to have his blood tested before donating blood.

Sharing with Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Ha shared that this was his first time donating blood voluntarily, so he was very nervous. "I was very surprised because I didn't think there would be so many young people coming to donate blood voluntarily. From early morning, everyone lined up very long, patiently waiting for their turn without rushing. Because everyone had arranged and taken the time to donate meaningful drops of blood like this," Mr. Ha said.

He also shared that because it was his first time donating blood, yesterday he looked up information before donating blood to prepare his health in the best way possible and be eligible to donate blood.

"Many people, although very young, have donated blood many times. That makes me very impressed by everyone's spirit of giving. I also want to spread this good thing.

Youth spirit and volunteer spirit do not need to be something too great, but sometimes simply very quiet activities like this have contributed a lot to society," Mr. Ha proudly said.

As a young person with a passion for volunteering, Ha Minh (20 years old) shared that when she learned that the blood donation program on March 26 was "open for registration", she and her friends registered early to do meaningful work on this special day.

"Like other young people, I hope that my blood will help many patients in need of blood," said Ha Minh.

Also present at the hospital to participate in voluntary blood donation early, Ms. Huong (33 years old, Hanoi) smiled and said: "Today, I came to have a true "date with youth". Unlike other blood donations, today there are many young people here, a "youthful" atmosphere filled with youthful energy. I also feel like I am younger".

Sharing at the program, Mr. Nguyen Ha Thanh, Director of the Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, shared: "Perhaps everyone in life experiences the most brilliant, energetic years of youth, full of enthusiasm and desire to assert themselves.

"Youth Month is also an opportunity for every young person or anyone who has or will experience a vibrant youth to demonstrate their spirit of initiative, creativity, and dedication to the community. And that is the reason why we all have a "date with youth" here," said Mr. Thanh.

The blood donation festival "Appointment with youth" becomes a place for those who are and have passed their youth to freely share, spread kindness to the community, and contribute more blood units to the sick.
