On April 13, in Nha Trang City (Khanh Hoa Province), the Vietnam Journalists Association held a National Conference to review the Association's work, emulation and reward work in 2022; and set out directions and tasks for 2023. The conference was attended by more than 500 delegates, representing more than 23,000 members of 63 provincial and municipal Journalists Associations, 20 Inter-Associations and more than 200 affiliated Associations nationwide.
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha highly appreciated and congratulated the achievements of the Vietnam Journalists Association and all levels of the association in 2022. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that in 2023, the domestic and international situation will face many difficulties and challenges. Therefore, the Vietnam Revolutionary Press needs to continue to more strongly arouse the aspiration for a prosperous and prosperous Vietnam; encourage the spirit of innovation; and add positive energy for the entire political system, together with the entire people, to overcome difficulties and challenges, successfully achieving the socio-economic development goals of 2023 and the 2021-2025 period.
The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that the Association at all levels should guide press agencies to closely follow the practical cause of innovation and development of the country, current issues; deeply and vividly reflect the breath and pulse of life to produce many quality press works with high combativeness, profound humanistic values, authenticity, touching the emotions of the audience. From there, contributing to orienting public opinion, creating social consensus, constantly strengthening people's trust in the Party and State.
The Association at all levels needs to perform well its role as a sharp weapon and effective tool of the Party on the ideological and cultural front; thoroughly grasp the spirit of the 13th Party Congress document on "Building a professional, humane and modern press and media"; focus on improving quality, efficiency, creating a cultural space and environment in press activities...
Central ministries and branches should further cooperate with the press, proactively provide complete, timely and accurate information, create the most favorable conditions for press agencies and journalists to work in accordance with their expertise and profession, proactively reflect on shortcomings, difficulties and problems so that management agencies can respond promptly and quickly with policies; have specialized topics, conduct systematic and synchronous research, propose good models and practices, replicate new mechanisms and policies, and even propose solutions to problems.
On the same afternoon, the Organizing Committee held the 2022 Emulation and Reward Conference and the Conference to review the work of supporting high-quality journalism.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Journalists Association awarded the 2022 Emulation Flag to 13 units, and awarded Certificates of Merit to 24 collectives and 28 individuals with outstanding achievements in professional work and Association building in 2022.
